The fixed point in whatever timeline is whatever makes him become the sorcerer supreme. Because in this timeline, if Christine doesn't die then why did he gained the power to alter time in the first place. @donnamitsuki2813 жыл бұрын
So if our MCU main timeline Strange had decided to go back so his hands don't get fucked (which was his original intent at some point,fixing his hands) he would fail and get them fucked up over and over no matter what. It's an absolute point because he NEEDS a reason to study magic in the first place.
@atleastdecent38103 жыл бұрын
you are correct in that universe Christine's death is the reason for the universe to exist, the reason the universe was made, is because a story boarder decided that an episode could be made in that premise. By trying to save Christine Doctor Strange would eliminate the purpose of the episode to exist, thus making the episode obsolete, thus destroying the universe. @@timexyemerald6290 I completely agree. I mean, I understand that the origins of the strenght of many super heroes is supernatural, so it wouldn't be unrealistic to draw characters like Wonder Woman - who makes part of a magical race - with less body mass than, let's say, Batman, who is just a human and needs to be muscular in order to keep up. But if it is that so, why is Superman naturally so jacked if his powers come from the Sun? Why is Flash drawn with proeminent muscles if his powers comes from the speedforce? It is clear that there has been a pattern for superheroes when it comes to male and female looks - men are fit, older and muscular, while women are also fit, but thinner, younger and look like supermodels instead of wrestling matchers like male superheroes were originally visually conceived as, even when they are warriors who had been training and practicing exercise for centuries like Wonder Woman. See the difference between Super-Man and Super-Girl for example. Despite both having the exact same power source, one has got much more muscle mass than the other.

I'm honestly all for twists. I don't care if it's a twist I called or not. As long as it's well done I like it. Hank being the culprit in the 3rd episode is definitely something I would have missed, had I been a little bit more inattentive but the way they set it up and revealed is pretty neat. I dunno what it is with Schaff that makes him hate twists that he didn't call. Not all plot twists should be predicted to be good, nor should be unpredictable to be bad. Even though some characters have different characterizations (like Thanos being talked out of genocide, or being lazered in two) and there are some plot holes (when looking at events in the movies), I believe it’s kinda excused because of the fact that it’s a multiverse. Not completely, but kinda. It’s hard to explain, but I’ll use the Ultron one as an example. In order for Ultron to take over the Universe, there needs to be more than one difference; First, the avengers have to fail to stop Ultron from getting his new body and wiping out the world; Then Thanos has to do things differently AND be overly-confident. If (vision)Ultron went up against Infinity War Thanos, Thanos would win. But that wasn’t Infinity War Thanos. That was a Thanos who did things differently and was overly confident. From what I remember, it was only in Captain Carter that Watcher said that one difference created the story we saw. In order for Ultron to take over the universe, Thanos NEEDS to be in at least a different state of mind in order for Ultron to stand a chance. So, they writers took the fastest (and in my opinion, the funniest) option and made his so confident that he wasn’t at all prepared

The part in episode 8 where Hawkeye is looking through the files and The Watcher basically turns into someone yelling at their favorite character in a show had me in stiches. Honestly I’ve kind of always felt like he’s always been really good at describing why a movie works, but whenever he’s critiquing a movie instead he really just gets way too pissed off at the movie to really rationalize anything he says. I don’t think anything illustrates this further than his early Last Jedi reviews just being 5 minute spurts sprinkled throughout his videos about how much he hated it, then a year later, a 45 minute in depth review on why it was actually okay, and then when the rise of skywalker came out it was just >”This movie just felt like a bunch of toys smashing together” >Lists random things that happened in the movie >Refuses to elaborate further >leaves Sigma grindset. Still appreciate his content tho and it’s his channel not ours, but could be better, that’s all

The thing with Vision kidnapping T’Chala to feed scarlet witch is a nice nod to the original Zombies comic, in that story Giant Man does the same thing for himself as the zombies are basically the same people they were when they were alive other than when they’re hungry. At one point after killing and eating Magneto Bruce remarks that he’s not even digesting the stuff they’re eating, and that eventually he’s going to explode when turning back into bruce from the Hulk. Peter bounces back and forth from tearing flesh off of people to curling up and sobbing about how he killed and ate Aunt May and Mary Jane. Very gory, interesting stuff.

Right? Like, it was an interesting reference to the original stuff from Kirkman's work. And the opening is also a reference to Zombieland, I believe. The episode focused on alternate universe Strange trying to save his loved one that was destined to die was an incredible episode. Best one of the series in my opinion. I feel like they could still continue the story for Killmonger in Season 2. Think about it, the multiverse is a menagerie of literally infinite universes, each one just a tiny bit different from the rest. Which means there are hundreds, if not an infinity more universes where the events of that episode still took place. They could just say the watcher is looking at the events from a version of that universe, where he didn't pick up Killmonger for his little superhero team.

One of my problems with Marvel movies and shows is that every character is trying to be Peter Parker. Peter does the serious superhero thing but makes jokes and snarky comments. It's fine because that's his character. The problem is that now every Marvel hero needs to do the same to be funny and relatable. Every Marvel hero is Peter Parker with different powers.
@persan23573 жыл бұрын
It's a weird comparison, but I find myself agreeing. Marvel has this problem where it wants to make every single character and movie 'quirky' enough, to the point where they ruin potential good premises with their friendly banter and cringe humor. Why can't they make more characters like Wolverine? Or Deadpool? Or any other sufficiently dark character that doesn´t partake in that kind of childish humor and it´s actually good? I want to see some serious MCU projects, because some characters like Gamora, Shang-Chi, Black Widow or Loki are actually not that goofy-like and they're actually quite dark characters. I feel because of things like that the MCU kills what makes them compelling...
