I'm the that tweet to Megan and the cw casting to make her vixen the moment I saw her leave another show ( my best Twitter moment) glad she got to play her once in live action, she has African roots but she half white (learned this all the same night) so i kinda knew that would be the part that would get her through the door. I thought she was cute in the old WB show & that one episode of "what I like about you" that her show kinda kinda spinned off from, but anyway I hope the next vixen isn't half white or any horse mouth British person. If a character's race isn't important to the story, why does it matter? Especially if you have 1000 other White characters to call on. It's also funny that you have characters that have African lore in their identity, yet look White in the comics. And if they're portrayed as "Black" in live action people get mad (see Hawkman)

+Canis: I think that Vixen is basically immortal. There was an issue of "Justice League of America" written a few years ago by Steve Orlando in which Vixen was killed in an explosion, so she used the abilities of a planarian worm to resurrect herself.

Black Panther's African heritage is highlighted because 1. he was THE VERY FIRST Black superhero; only White characters were in the spotlight up until that point. 2. It was integral to his storyline. Also, was it pandering when Spawn took on the KKK in the comics? Just wondering

(Its funny how people whine about raciaI profiling, but have no problem doing it to themselves) And what about Blade, also a great comic. No kkk members or African heritage for "the message" in his comics. (Maybe there was a racist vampire in the background to help your point? smh) The fact that ONE Spawn comic had ONE judge who just happened to be a kkk member didnt define the series. Oh he also wasnt *taking on the entire kIan* . You're reaching. (Issue #130, also about the time the comic went downhill.) Again...the Spawn series didn't start or revolve around "bIack power" or African pride. It wasnt THE source of his powers or have anything to do with race what-so-ever. Spawn was more genuine, interesting and relatable than Vixen and BIack Panther ever were because of that very fact. But hey, at least *you* liked your own comment.

I’ve the character but honestly can’t decide whether in 2023 having a character from Africa who mimics animals is not a recipe for racism. It’s like how in captain America they had the Black African boy have the power of Earth and the American Indian they power to heart and talking to animals. Not very PC at all.
