Michael Shannon (the guy that played General Zod) did such a good job in his portrayal. He revealed in interviews that he played it as if Zod was the actual hero in the film. Zod, the whole time, thought he was in the process of saving his world and Superman was standing in the way. Definitely an interesting way to play it and, once you see it from that perspective, you start to understand how that turned into a great performance.
@joshmorales7703 жыл бұрын
Still the best villain in the entirety of the mess that is the D.C.E.U.; Zod was genetically engineered to serve the single purpose of ensuring the survival of his species. In the end, Superman stole that from him and destroyed all that Zod had lived his life to preserve and protect. Zod's loss in that moment, and Shannon's portrayal of it, was done superbly.

A Bug's Life is a 1998 American computer-animatedcomedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. It was the second film produced by Pixar. Directed by John Lasseter and co-directed and written by Andrew Stanton, the film involves a misfit ant, Flik, who is looking for "tough warriors" to save his colony from a protection racketrun by Hopper's gang of grasshoppers. Unfortunately, the "warriors" he brings back turn out to be an inept troupe of Circus Bugs.

A bit better? Really? The theatrical version cuts out some of the most important elements that make the story have development, have character motivations, have COHERENCE. Yes its just half an hour and it's all near the begining, but it's not a bit better. It's a whole better. It's two whole's better. Without the extended material half the scenes don't make sense.

I feel like Zod is one of the best "villians" in the DC movies (the live action), you can totally understand his purpose, like he says, he was born to protect Krypton, every cell of his body is made for that, soo he is doing everything in his power to complete the goal of hes creation.
