Not often, but we do get a scary storm and a tornado warning (not a watch) a time or two per year. Just had one on Wednesday, actually. It’s the conditions but not necessarily one touching the ground. I still prefer the basement!

lived here over 30 years - many warnings but only 1 touchdown but straight line winds can do some damage - over 20 years ago we did have a June w/ lots of storms and spent most the time in the basement

I have a hard time answering that as I am not one, but we do have African Americans here, of course. And an immigrant population from Somalia.

I live in Minneapolis, MN. Sales tax here in Minneapolis is now 9%. Personally I don't find the liquor laws here an issue. You won't have a hard time finding alcohol here. The new law put through by the Democrats taxes your car's value at 160% of value(!). I disagree that we have four seasons. We have two seasons: winter and summer. Fall is short here, like two weeks. Spring this year and last was non-existent, it goes from 25 to 70 overnight. This seems more like for rural people. The issue here in the Twin Cities is rising crime and urban decay. For example lightrail here is atrocious. Really bad.

the tax rate is actually 8.025% in Minneapolis. When I moved here there were still no liquor sales on Sunday... fortunately for adults that want to make their own decisions that has changed. Car tax rate is LOWER than the sales tax rate per the MN dept of Revenue: dps.mn.gov/divisions/dvs/Pages/motor-vehicle-sales-tax.aspx#:~:text=Tax%20Rate%206.5%25%3A,the%20vehicle%2C%20whichever%20is%20higher. 6.5% Tax Rate 6.5%: Sales tax is due on most purchases or acquisitions of motor vehicles. It is based on the total purchase price or fair market value of the vehicle, whichever is higher.

I have relatives in Minneapolis who are elderly. I am very concerned about their safety regarding all the gangs there!! I know all about gang crime after living in Los Angeles for 58 years. It seems that criminals are made into victims more and more in blue states!!!

That’s weird… I live in Minneapolis and have zero problems with gangs. 🤷🏻‍♀️ there are hundreds of thousands of us that leave here very happily with no issues
