I was there... I had fallen only to drop once more into that hell... The creek still stands liberated

As a week 2 recruit it was a rude awakening to land on the creek for the first time. Dozens of drops completed against the bugs, none of it mattered when the first Annihilator drops on your head. Many veterans of the Creek will tell you the worst part were those menacing glares. I will tell you they were a mercy when you saw them. The small comfort of knowing they weren't shooting you, yet. Remember divers, Spill Oil.

I was a lv10 rookie when I first dropped on the Creek. By the time the retreat order came in I was lv35 There was one particular drop I'll remember for the rest of my life. I was conducting a high risk solo mission and was about halfway through when two other divers joined my squadron, a veteran like myself and a lv7 rookie. We cleaned up the rest of the objectives and started making our way back to extract and was almost there when I noticed the rookie wasn't with us. I ordered the vet to keep going and set up a perimeter while I went back into the jungle to look for the rookie. I found him being hounded by 3 berserkers plus support troops and shot them off him just in time for the notification that extraction was called. To this day I don't know whether that vet broke, figured we were dead anyway or... something else but I swore and told the rookie to run like hell while I played rear guard. Took every once of my skill, tenacity and a liberal helping of airstrikes and 380 bombardments but I got back to extract with no stims, no ammo and seconds to spare. The kid looked at me in awe, the vet wouldn't meet my eye. When it's time for me to retire I'll be looking to build a cabin in those jungles. I miss them

I was there. Hell, I was one of the last divers on the creek when it fell. I will never forget that place, it was my first bot deployment, and it was also the site of my first helldive. A successful helldive, as the last diver alive, with all the squads samples and the voices of my fallen comrades ringing in my ears. That place. That eternal twilight. The dichotomy of open lakes and thick jungles. Floods of enemy fire, scything down trees. Death chants closing in from all sides. 380 shells, air strikes, and 500 kilogram bombs raining from the sky. There was a time memories of the fighting on the creek haunted me… now, unseen bots chanting and jungle trees serve only to make me smile fondly, in remembrance of the battles that shaped me. When the bots were eradicated from the known galaxy, a part of me felt empty. When their main force reinvaded, I was… ecstatic. The war has changed me. This is Vegi-1 of the SES Wings of Steel, a member of the Creek’s old guard, and a proud Crawler. I have taken part in every major battle the helldivers have fought, from the deployment of the TCS, to the repeated sieges of Hellmire, to the factories of Tien Kwan, to the fall of Meridia. Nothing will ever come close to the Massacre of Malevelon Creek. These days, I spend most of my time on Marfark, Vernon Wells, and wherever else the major order demands. This is Vegi-1 of the SES Wings of Steel, singing off. FOR SUPER EARTH

I was not down on the surface. I was heading one of the super destroyers in orbit. I watched so many of my friends, most of whom I had made in the campaign against the Termanids, step into their drop pods for me to send them down. Somehow, I had this feeling in the back of my mind that this was not going to go as we thought, but because I did not have even the faintest clue, let alone a coherent idea, for why I had it, I foolishly ignored that feeling, a decision I almost immediately came to regret. So many screams of horror, so many desperate cries for help, so many suddenly cut off, never to be heard from again. Some of my best friends among them were among the first to suffer this terrible end. I did my best to support them, and I wholeheartedly believe that every captain of every super destroyer did too, but it was still, at best, utter chaos. It was hard to hear so many be snuffed out by those blasted automatons, and it was even harder to hear them disappear because of our support, whether it be reinforcements dropping too directly on top of them, or us trusting their targeting for our ordinance. The worst ones were those who deliberately had our orbital ordinance strike themselves, because it was either because they broke down and believed it would be faster and less painful to be taken out by us... or that they knew they lost and surrounded and thus wanted to take as many automatons as possible with them, using us to do it. That damn creek belongs to us. For Super Earth. For Democracy.

I was one such veteran that came to fight the bots, it was one of many firsts for me. I expected it to be difficult, coming in with orbital strikes, auto cannons, MMG’s and cluster munitions. Without proper AT I found the weak points of their blind tanks and those dreaded hulks. Hitting and fading, only staying in a fight to cover my fellow Helldivers. The hardest part for most of my drops was holding out for extract and was when I learned Pelican-1 would not be ignored by the bots. Although i can’t recall how many dives I had into the creek which I know was somewhere around ten. I could see it was a lost cause with how few were diving and focused elsewhere to slow the automatons until we could push them back.

I remember it, horrifically well. Me and my Unit had exited the hellpods and advanced into the jungle, our objective was to eliminate Fabricators and deal with several secondary objectives in the OA. We dealt with the first few almost without issue… but then, its like the hand of Lady Liberty moved away from us, and all hell broke loose. My unit was slaughtered without mercy, and by the end only me and my squad, and two other groups, made it to extract with major casualties… That was only the first mission in our Operation… and the beginning of a long, long war.

I was there day 1 with 3 of my buddies eager to experience this masterpiece of a game. Little did we know the absolute shitstorm we were about to drop into… hundreds of tracers, explosions, artillery emplacements, stratagem mixers, the fucking perpetual black sky. I have over 650 hours into this game, I’ve reached the rank of Commander. I have been in every battle the Helldivers have been to, from the factories at Tien Kwan, to the hellscape of Hellmire, to the now former planet of Meridia. Despite all of my battles, all those countless drops, nothing will ever compare to the Creek. Creek Veterans are definitely just built different. These new batch of recruits have it lucky, they don’t make them like they used too…

I remember that hell like it was yesterday. My first few drops were nightmare feul. Your first battle against the bits teaches you things. Every battle after that leaves you on your toes. The Creek makes you feel like a rat being hunted by cats.

as an alternate world jumping warrior, i go where humanity needs me. i was deployed to the Earth Defense Force and Titanfall 2 timelines when i heard about Malevalon Creek. many didn't believe the casualty reports we were hearing. ten million in the first two days alone for most of us is, at best, unheard of. but after seeing what the Helldivers are up against on that planet, it's not difficult to understand why. surveillance drones sent to the Creek transmitted videos of why the Automatons are such a threat: they are quick to respond, use tactics, can outrun the best sprinters, and pack a lot of firepower. i've noticed that humanity often struggles against machine factions, the Automatons on Malevelon Creek are no exception. after completing Helldiver training, which took a little bit due to timeline jumping causing brain haze and disorientation, i joined the fight against the automatons after a few "shake it off" missions against the bugs. i can confirm that the bots are not to be underestimated. fighting them brought back memories of my deployments in the War against the Machines in the Terminator timeline, and Necrons from the Warhammer 40k timeline, to name a few. most of those memories are unpleasant to say the least. almost turned the DO on my ship into an ash cloud after he tried to convince me that we should stay and help with the Tyranid, i mean Terminid front. "tried" in my vocabulary means (made the attempt and failed,) in the DO's case he failed miserably, but he made the effort so credit where credit is due. me, one of my ships, the SES Sentinel of Humankind, and its crew, are here to stay. Malevelon Creek stands!

I was on Mantis. Fighting to hold the line. There weren't enough of us. We held the line to keep the supplies flowing. The anger... The anger our men on the world felt. Forced to fall back. Ordered back as the planet fell. We knew the creek was lost when Mantis fell. The anger remained. We geared up. Stormed the world. Bled the ground. Claimed it. Recaptured it. Then pushed on. After retaking the world we remembered mantis and Dropnier. So image our reaction when only a month ago they had the audacity to push back onto Matis.... They never had a chance.

I would deploy with two or three others, landing amidst the trees. The first minute or so was always a mad dash to get our stratagems and supplies down before a patrol found us. Most times I didn’t even know the Helldivers I dropped with…there was no point, any of us could die. It usually happened the same way. We’d be striking and fading, moving from factory to factory. Then eventually one bot would get a flare off, several gunships would show and drop tanks, hulks, reinforcements…just in time for a patrol to return. Next thing we knew we were diving into foxholes, boulders, anything for cover from the onslaught. They started dying around that point…

I was there. I watched as my brothers were mowed down as I tried providing cover fire from a distance, but the bots were relentless and in the end I would end up alone as I slowly. Painstakingly crawled from objective to objective avoiding patrols and other hazards in the process. In the end we were told the Creek was lost and we were forced to evacuate.

I was there from the start I began my hellish journey from a level 5, I figured the bugs have had enough of my bullets I wanted to go show the tin cans that I was more scary. God I was wrong so very wrong, I remember the mission reports not even 2 hours after launch we had already lost well over 4,300 divers to the bots. To say malevelon creek was a massacre is an understatement.

I should thank the Creek for helping me get out of my way of fighting bugs when fighting bots because I choose not to return to bug space ( I was not one of the initial creekers but reinforcements when Super Earth gave the order) but once I learned how to really fight them they were going to pay for the lives they've taken and to this day I wear the Creekers Cape with pride and to remember the fallen SES Executor of War

I was there when our pods first dropped when we first stepped out from the trees it was silent there were no chirps of birds no clicks of insects.... I think that should have been our first clue that something was wrong........ then in a flash Jamaicafuzz vanished in a fireball from rocket barrage, we returned fire and quickly avenged him...... then the night turned to day as the rest of my squad was gunned down by a sea of neon fire, and no matter how many of us deployed the the sea of neon never dried out. Then I was caught in an explosion as an Automaton attempted to take me with it, I survived but was forced to extract...... sadly i had fallen into a coma and when I woke... they told me we won and the creak had been taken but at the cost of so many warriors of Freedom I salute you honored Helldiverss
