Thanks for the video. I have a 1735M, and would love the backhoe. On my dream list, and also adds some ballast weight for moving gravel etc with the loader.

Backhoes are are great accessory for digging and maintaining property. A Ballast Box/Rear Implement or Wheel Weights are what we prefer for Ballast. If you want to easily remove the ballast to reduce compaction of soils the Ballast Box or using a Rear Mounted Implement is best. If you want permanent ballast add rear wheel weights.

The CB85 is the model that fits the 1760M. It's a little bigger than the CB75 but pretty much operates and mounts the same as the CB75. As tractors get bigger the Backhoe gets bigger

No you would need a 3 Point Mounted Backhoe for the 4700 Series Tractors. That would be from a 3rd Party Vendor.

That could be added, all it takes is more money! We customize lots of tractors to fit the needs of customers. Might be cheaper to buy a bigger hat & a rain suit. Just depends on the budget.

Can the cb75 be added later, instead of at factory

Yes it can be added post tractor purchase BUT if you purchase when you purchase the tractor you can get the same Cash Discounts or use the Low Rate Financing Option for the tractor to buy both. They offer post tractor purchase program and financing but not as good as when buying with tractor. Biggest thing is changing models and availability of bracket sets. Currently there was no change in brackets from 1700 Premium to 1700M so bracket kit are readily available.

Can you mount the CB75 Backhoe on the 1700E series tractors?

Yes it can be. I actually have a CB75 sold for a 1739E and as soon as we receive that unit with the mounts for the 1700E Series and get it installed I will doing a video to show it. The 1800M replaced the 1700 Premium and would be installed with the same Mounting Kit as in this video. So YES the CB75 can be mounted on 1840M.

Unfortunately the 1700 Premiums are several generations old. They are in the process of updating to the new 1M/2M Series coming in 2025. But the 1800M/2800M have limited inventory available and some really great deals. If you want to upgrade to one of those get to your local dealer as the pricing is very aggressive to finish out selling the final models left in the field.

Thumb is Mechanical. You just set it in which position you need.

@@donmcmannamy3409 There is not an option from Massey Ferguson for Hydraulic Thumb. You Would have to add remote valve or create a Solenoid third function to add another Hydraulic Circuit. Going to get pretty expensive to add Hydraulic Thumb. Most of our customers set-it and forget it...not sure why you be adjusting so often to need hydraulic adjustment. Can you explain why?

@@VahrenbergImplement asking do having to be able to set it and put it back up without getting off and on over and over again for pulling stumps and other things during the job. Also I do realize it would require a 3rd function just like on the loaded for a grapple or 4 position bucket

Just roughly guessing $1000+ is what Solenoid 3rd Function costs, then you have to have special short hydraulic center, orifices to limit flow, hoses and couplers. I bet you would be pushing $2,000+ for Hydraulic Thumb. And then trying to figure out how and where to mount the solenoid valve to keep it protected and use with Backhoe Valve. And that not including the price of the Mechanical Thumb.

The CB 75 works on the 1736 & 1742 Premiums. The CB85 is for 1749,1754, 1758 & 1759 Premiums.

Just got my 1735M back from dealership with backhoe installed. Have had very little time to use it but love it so far. Only question is it seems a lot louder in th cab now even with backhoe off, is that normal?

The 1700M Series Motor is louder than the previous 1700 Premium Series. Just one of the things that happen when you don't have DPF Diesel Particulate Filter, DPF reduces noise with the exhaust filtration.

@@VahrenbergImplement I did run it for a few weeks before they put backhoe on. It just seems louder than before after the installation of backhoe. I believe they add a power beyond unit or something for the backhoe and it just sounds like that has made it louder you hear more of a howling sound from hydraulics.
