Well, does Mother Nature have 'unbelievable skills' or what??? Listening to you as you verbally 'thought' your way through this large, stunningly beautiful piece of Mulberry was an experience to be truly savoured. Having said what I have already said, I am still, in a sense, 'lost for words'. Phil, the skills you have shown to enhance the beauty of this huge piece of wood are 'out of this world', or so it seems. Don't let anyone try to tell you that you are not one of the very skilled masters of your craft. My eyes & my mind 'boggled' as I watched & listened to one of the 'Masters of His Craft'. I was transported to being a part of you as I went through your thought processes with you & that was a stunning 'eye opener' for me. As a retired, invalid Art Teacher in South Australia I still 'ply my craft' but on a computer, where I can still get some use out of my hands, to design things like mugs, shirts & tops for people, but I stand in awe of you & your sublime reasoning & working skills. Very enjoyable to see people like yourself, like Gary & others, is an absolute JOY. Keep safe & keep the videos rolling. If I rave on too much just let me know. Cheers, Don.

Howdy Phil If you did not say it is fruitless Mulberry I would have thought it is Yellow Locust...so much of the same colors and grain . Your right ...can't get any bigger diameter !I am lucky ..my head swivels ...the only thing that would stop is the floor ....but never did anything bigger than 16 inches . Piece is so nice and so much to look at . So many things going on . I see a seals' face @ 17:59 on the left about 8 o'clock . the small triangle is its mouth nose and eyes and part of body ! So nice of a piece Keep on turnin'

The more the rotten, bashed up, beaten up, moth-eaten, something the cat brought home. The better the work of art, beautiful.

Thank You Phil....YOU ALWAYS SURPRISE ME !!!..Sorry about the not flatness part (eye site must be off ) Love that grain & natural edge. Love how that grain transforms & puts on a show with the Feed & Wax !!! I very much enjoy your running commentary. Just wonderful Phil, great job ( & it was a job but defiantly not "Fruitless" Labor )......TM
