Forgot to talk about one of my points. The unreleased companions promos from the Atmoplex vid will most likely be coming with the update. Due to that content already being in the game!

To me it feels like theyre trying to add a "new world" of content and increase the level cap but don't actually want to do the work (art, voice acting, area design) of making a new world. It'll probably be you going to old worlds and questing through those maybe chasing a villian idk. Either way I'm very cautiously optemistic. I'd like if it was a new world but it's not so who knows what equals the content of one and also has level cap increase. That's the speculation

Well yeah, it's expensive because they need to pay new voice actor, and pay their art team who does the different map designs for skways/dungeons/areas and most likely the models in that you won't never go to but it's there for aesthetics reasons. If this was happen 5 years ago, I can guarantee you this would've worked well with the new worlds we should've already gotten. I'm glad they're adding more content to the game.

@@bravejonah For a better measurement, they said it takes roughly 4x the budget of making a Wizard101 world to make a world for Pirate101, which tracks considering the stuff that goes into a P101 world (Look at the Atmoplex's take on Darkmoor in P101, even as an independant worker it still took 6 months to develop. And thats with the shortcuts too!)

Honestly I'm not complaining, they just came back to the game and updating it and I don't know how big the team is, but it isn't wiz level and because of how intensive pirate is a whole new world would take years, and if wiz worlds take a yearish to make pirate on a small team Is probably way longer

they could possibly add a new skyway to mooshu or maybe make us visit marleybone city. So I'm also guessing they're trying to add more content on the existing worlds thats close to a new world update in 2024. I'm just worried about the level cap being raised to 75 instead of 80. 5 level doesn't seem the wait.

My wish for the future of this game is I hope to see a clockwork avenger npc working along the captain with their own line of quests. I want there to be an eventually reveal that our compatriot is actually Kane reincarnated in a way, born from the union of his fallen corpse, the shattered remains of the heart, and whatever else is needed for the plot. I would be nice to actually see him redeemed and remorseful for what he has done, especially with his father. Redemption is common in Pirate101, let’s see the villains of the past stand with our hero.😎👍🏻

P101 had to hire an ENTIRE new development team. Falmea has stated more than once that NO ONE on the new team knew HOW to build a sky way from scratch. Getting additions to existing worlds (Marleybone? Aquilla?) could be the new development teams way of learning how to build a skyway. I'll take world size update any day. New content in 2024? Cool.

If they were to make a new class it would probably have to be a new strength-based class. That way the classes are balanced with two will users, two strength users and two agility users

after hearing rumor about lines found in the game files, does sound like the new part of the game is gonna end up being stuff to retcon the end of the story, maybe a couple new dungeons and areas in existing worlds, perhaps a sorta diet extra world like wintertusk is to grizzleheim in wizard

That would be cool if they, expanded Monquesta and Moo Shu, complete the sky way king isle. Level cap to 80, that would be awesome, and also get more access to Valencia, like that unused island. Can we finally explore Dragon Spire in pirate 101, that would be a nice world to explore, also Korkotopia, Polaris, Mirage, Dark Moore, Azteca and El Dorado. Those were the world teased years ago and to this day not in the game, and it feels we pirates are being ignored way to long, King Isle you can't ignore your pirates forever, eventually someone will speak up and say " As much as we love the wizards, us pirates feels like that's favoritism and this neglect is unacceptable."

I've been out of the game since I finished it and they quit adding worlds. I was just waiting till they wrote a new story. But I'll bite. Just in case this is the training wheels for the new team - I really want them to succeed and write more story and create new Books/Worlds.

I feel they arent revealing everything. I feel like this is a mini update to something bigger. In a sense to set the foundations stones for something else to come. In my opinion. If they are learning a whole new way of making skyways and learning the ins and outs of Pirate101 developer stuff. This is the first update to show themselves what they can do and the potential going forward

Eventually they are bound to get rid of the chaining or at least change it because right now stuff like relentless, bladestorm, double tap, etc.... can cause fights to really drag on because you and the enamies are constently doing them... so its inevitable that they will eventually need to focus more on individual abilities (making even more unique abilities for each class) and phase chaining out in some way... idk how they could do this and am sure it would take a lot of work re-balanceing but it is the best thing to do in the long run... companions would change alot with chains phasing out too because they would need new abilities... but that would hopefully give us more companion variety.

What? There is nothing wrong with chaining. If anything without chains games would last longer. My pirate can take out a unit in one turn with chains alone.

@@scorpionbjjmma5503 oh i know 100% enemies can and will die in 1 turn a lot of the time... my point was that each turn takes a long time to play out do to every player, companion, and enemy chaining... if they instead had more damage for the abilities or other unique abilities that i am not trained to create and balance and therfore cant think of off the top of my head. Then turns would be quicker and you could still kill enemies at a good speed overall... also that would make less of a focus on using companions that have good starting chain skills and lead to more unique abilities being added to differentiate them and making more of them affective in the harder fights and giving more interesting playstyles all together.... but as i said im not knowledgeable enough to decide how all this would work. Just saying my thoughts/desires.

I think everyone here is over speculating lol. I’ve been playing wiz and pirates since they launched and wiz actually at open beta before it launched. What they’ll probably do is have new locations in current worlds and a bunch of new updates through that. Like adding colossus blvd, or darkmoor in wiz or the zig zag dungeons in wiz, or waterworks, or any major dungeon. We can probably expect expansion in the skull island world with maybe a new skyway being reveled or something of that nature. Adding a new world doesn’t really matter. Worlds aren’t as separate/ important as in wiz. In wiz, you play a world and you’re in that world for the next week and leave only for potions or selling something. In pirates, you visit other worlds in the storyline very frequently. Almost feels like the entire spiral so far is one big world with characters actively communicating with eachother and having big tides with eachother. So in pirates new worlds do not matter. It’s the content that matter. The gear, the companions, the level caps, that’s what matters. I think we’ll be seeing a lot of revamps in some systems such as criticaling, maybe some balances, obvious a level cap of probably 10-15. New companions, and the addition to the main storyline that will take place in a new place in a current world, most likely skull island. Maybe some sort of dark skyway unlocked like how darkmoor was in wizard city
