Where were you 20 years ago when I wanted to get into 3D and there were no resources ??! 😂 Your content has helped me a lot in learning Blender over the past two years. Thank you for everything you do ✨

He was probably going through what documentation there was learning it himself! (or taking expensive college art courses). I remember the days, people would pass hints on Usenet but you were mostly on your own when learning to use tools, and the tools were often written for a specific game, project etc and just barely worked on what you were trying to do with it! Ah the days of using the Duke Nukem 3D editor to do things, with articles from Usenet as a guide, and dealing with all the bugs in the software which was never intended for public use.

Thanks for putting the time into this! Worth it for the sections on cloth bushes alone.

Thank you! Nobody explained sculpting brushes so good (also nice that you showed how they work together)

First time I took the time to follow the whole video... totally worth it! Now I have an excuse to sculpt something 😄 Thanks Grant!

I’ve never used Blender before but I’ve used Photoshop for many years. I can tell this is one of the most useful videos I’ll ever see for Blender, bravo good sir!😊

Wow thanks for this Grant! I've been hesitant to upgrade to 4.3 because I'm use to the old sculpting brushes and interface. This video has given me the confidence to make the change. ALWAYS AWESOME CONTENT Mr. Abbitt! Thanks for sharing.

I waited years to get the M3 MBP so I could start using blender and sculpting tools and I’ve not done a thing in the year since I’ve owned it. And this is the first vid I’ve watched about Blender in that period, too.

The way the trim brush works is that it’ll try to flatten the mesh down to the level of the face you started the stroke on.

Hello. How do we import or create a vdm brush in the new blender? Please create a new tutorial about it.

Scrape/Fill is my favorite for smoothing stuff out. I prefer it greatly over the smooth brush. Maybe its bc of my ceramics background and my love of the metal rib. 😂

How do you navigate your viewport? Stylus button for rotation and shift-ctrl-alt for other view transformations with "emulate mouse button" checked in preferences? If so, how do you select edge loop with alt-click while in edit view? I have tablets with touch capabilities, but ended up ordering an external BT keyboard for navigating the viewport, cause Blender sucks with touchs gestures
@grabbitt21 күн бұрын
I do always use a keyboard but lot of tablets have special key pads for extra buttons. Use the pen button as middle mouse button for navigation

Something to keep in mind with cloth brushes is that the results are greatly influenced by the mesh type. Some of the cloth brush results in this video were not great because the demo mesh wasn't ideally suited for the cloth brush, such as a plane would be, for demonstration purposes.

i believe i did explain this as i went through the sculpting brushes

So atm Blender is better than Zbrush for absolute noobs right?
@besthobbitАй бұрын
Blender is free and Z Brush is like $400/yr. I would definitely say Blender is better for a noob based on that alone.
