I, ve three nos motor having 200kw each whose are running by simens master drive using master slave techniques. Each motor have encoder but I want to use only one encoder in master motor. Is it possible. If possible how can I do?
@aforautomation3 жыл бұрын
Removing encoder will create synchronisation problem between all four drives/Motor if any motor is running in torque control mode then encoder will be must. Without encoder feedback it is possible if you use DTC drives.

Sir if I keep master in speed mode and slave in torque mode then what will happen and also master motor encoder feedback and slave encoder feedback connection detail
@aforautomation2 жыл бұрын
If you keep master is speed mode then slave will help master to maintain its set speed,means at higher load speed will not drop or deviate too much, encoder connection is always done with respective drives,,you can not connect encoder of master motor to slave or vise versa,it is only done if both motors shaft is mechanically coupled.

Hi Sir I Have a heavy cylindrical mass of 10000 N-m Torque required to drive, can I use 5000 N-m and 5000 N-m like master and slaver with 100% of motor rated torque to drive heavy mass ? Please suggest

Under my supervision there is a master slave ABB drive, In that AI is coming from PLC, and master, slave VFD's are communicated by FO cable and here is no speed reference encoder fixed in motor to get the actual speed of motor to feed to master drive. I want to know how master slave drive works in my case.
@aforautomation2 жыл бұрын
Abb drives have DTC feature which enables them to control the torque without encoder feedback.and speed is estimated.

@abhinavdon19894 жыл бұрын
Sir in Manuals it is written that if the motor shafts of Master and followers are solidly coupled so that no speed difference is possible between them .in this case follower has to be Torque controlled not speed controlled ...Why is it so in case follower is speed controlled what will happen ?
@aforautomation2 жыл бұрын
Slave motors torque should not be grater than master motor otherwise mechanical coupling will break, and if we keep slave motor in speed mode without any torque limit, slave motor may apply more torque to achieve its speed which may lead to coupling or shaft breakage, if we run slave motors in speed,the torque always should be limited with respect to master torque.master slave mode is choosen as per application requirements/ proces.

Can we do the M/S without closeloop i mean on V/F mode?
@aforautomation2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can do but speed will never be sycronised properly.if your process doesn't demands very good accuracy you can do it. like some pumps should run at same speed or some fans should run at same speed.in case of processing line the material is not very flexible.in billets casting or thick plate or heavy wire rod mill motors doesn't use encoder they just run at same speed.

Sir, master vfd ki analog output se ham 3 slave drive chla sakte h, torque mode me
@aforautomation5 жыл бұрын
yes you can run.through PLC programming you will have to receive actual torque %of master drive and send to other drive as a torque reference in %.. suppose master drive torque%is 50 then you can send 50%torque reference to other or you can add some factor for load distribution..

In this case both motor starts simultaneously or the master motor will start first sir ??
@aforautomation6 жыл бұрын
both will start simultaneously because master slave is used for only speed and torque synchronisation and start command will come simultaneously from plc to both drives..

Multiplying factor how to calculate While load sharing.why torque per set in drive -300 per to +300per.one doubt if motor are of different ratings kw how load is shared.2.load sharing of 200nm will be 100 nm 100 nm. Or 150nm bigger motor ,50 nm smaller motor
@aforautomation4 жыл бұрын
Load sharing is done in percentage so no Matter what ever is Motor ratings percentage torque will be same
@aforautomation4 жыл бұрын
Vector control drive can achieve torque upto 300 %for few seconds,if at any point of time higher torque is required to keep the load at desired speed drive can handle.+300/-300 may be default value please check in your drive user manual.

nice video sir.I have a doubt.How load sharing is being occured within two motors?Is that always 50%-50% load sharing again if a master of load sharing mode become free then what will be the effect on slave. sir kindly clear my all the above written doubts.
@aforautomation6 жыл бұрын
very good question Load sharing is not always 50-50 it. most of the time its 100% suppose there is a load requiring torque of 100 kg-meter then total toruqe applied by the All master+slave will be 100kg-meter, and all the motor may not be of same power (kw), then we divide the load in all master and slave motors as per there torque capacity and share the total load to all the motor, we receive the actual torque of master motor in PLC and by multiplying with some factor like 0.90 to 0.999 we send this to slave drives as a torque reference. ..i will make one more video to clear your doubt...
