My lock flahes red and won't lock or unlock. I pushed the program button in battery compartment, hit 1 then check mark my 4 digit code then check mark. Tried my code and just lock noise and beeping red flash.

Try a factory reset, hold the programming button for 20 seconds till you hear a long beep, then press the programming button again. I had to do that, then was able to get my new code set

Gotta hit the programming button on the back, below the batteries then the sequence you described. Your code can be 4 to 8 digits
