Diamond in the Witch House is probably one of the best pieces of music I have heard in my life. The power, the tone, the desperation and darkness in the vocals in combination with the never ending tom work by Brann Dailor is truly remarkable. There is so much going on in that song, and frankly I cant believe how long Brann held that part of the song in the last few minutes. That guys sings the shit out of that song. You know a song is good and complete when there isn't a damn thing you could do to it to improve it. It kind of reminds me of Mudvaynes Nothing to Gein (live version).

The last baron is definetely my favorite Mastodon song, and holy shit man, this version is so freaking amazing! Brent's voice is on point, the instrumental is absolutely insane, everything about this version is perfect to me. The setlist is awesome too, thought i haven't heard a couple of songs of it (Only got to know these guys a couple of months ago).

Both Troy and Brent started taking actual singing a lot more serious the last couple of albums and they’ve only improved with time and are both sounding solid live. Brent completely wrecked his voice screaming like a madman in the early days but his singing vocals are sounding the best they ever have these days, trots vocals sound good too and Brann just keeps improving as a singer and probably has the best pure voice of all of them.

Upon revisting the Scott Kelly part of this set, I noticed that Spectrelight's verse riff ir played slightly different, going down instead of applying octave up version of ending part of the phrase. I enjoy it.
