The band brutus is worth checking out then, go check out a performance of war or sugar dragon live by them. The lead singer and drummer Stefanie rules and the band is awesome live.

I think pretty much everyone likes bills voice and wish he sang more. Got some killer harsh vocals too. I’ve wished forever bill would be down to start singing so they could have 4 singers

The sound for this whole show Is one of the best for a mastodon concert. Pretty close to Roskilde 2011 and live in the kpit with Scott Kelly which are masterpieces. Their adult Swim performance is great too and live at Vera 2005 is another great show From them. The mixing on a lot of mastodon live videos completely Fucks in their sound so it’s always great to see videos like this which sound great like they should. Just saw them earlier this week and they sounded fuckin awesome, a lot of the videos online just don’t do them Justice which is a bummer.

He has different guitars for different tunings. I think he uses the Gibsons on the the lower tuned songs. I've seen him use the Sparrow Hawk plenty this year and last year.

You know when I first heard this song I really didn't like it and didn't like the way mastodon was going as a fan of the leviathan era stuff. Fast forward to today and OMRTS is one of my favorite albums because when they play anything from this album live its mind blowing and changed my entire perspective on it.

During the Chorus and Verse they sounded AWESOME, but the guitar solo felt very empty. They needed some more bass or a looper pedal for a rhythm guitar part.
