My brother bought a pack of old pc games like Fifa 98, Need For Speed 2, Fifa 2005 and Driver 3 at a second hand store and we made an incredible discovery. My experience with this game only went as far as a demo disc, and even way back when I played it, I didn't know what I was doing. "Who wants to play through the same game over and over again just to unlock the same levels?" Good to see you understand my feelings to separate rider/skater progression with these games back then. It just fucking sucks, no matter what you get in return. It doesn't help that Mat Hoffman got its ass kicked in the PS1 bike game stuff by Dave Mirra. Still, at least Hoffman stuck around the most with the Hawk games, getting a sequel game that was fairly enjoyable too, though its sad what the fate of that series became. Good stuff, Jak.

@Xindictive4 жыл бұрын
@@maximusg88 I think Hoffman was more memorable a name due to how big he was and how much he was by Tony Hawk's side all the way to American Wasteland, whereas Mirra had the stronger start with his games, having the better design and controls compared to Hoffman... well, until BMX XXX. I don't think Hoffman's two games are bad. They're flawed, but what they manage to give is good stuff. But Mirra was one step above for the most part on his first game, it's just Mirra suffered on spots that Hoffman succeeded in with the sequels for each of them. I don't know why, but I kind of want to see them implement stuff from this game in to THPS 1+2 HD, since it'd make more sense to use that as a "hub" title for these stages and maybe the implementation of a BMX mode, but that would also be seen as hi-jacking the game too. Also, in the event that there's a Hawktober themed on the THPS copycats/knock-offs (basically not published by Activision), would you consider doing something similar to episode 100 where the episodes are opened by people trying to be knock-off Jaks?
