Rob Thomas is one of the most underrated vocalist in music. Be it solo or MB20 his vocals are 🔥🔥🔥
@chancock4222 Жыл бұрын
I once heard a voice coach say Rob Thomas doesn't actually sing his lyrics, he bites them. It sounds like an insult but she was a huge fan of him. She says he is effortless in his style and no one can do what he does quite the way he does it. She said she tried it and was out of breath by the end of the song. She was like, "you just can't breathe doing it how he does it."

@@winn5736from Time: Were there any really scary moments during the shoot? Paul [Doucette, Matchbox Twenty’s drummer,] on fire was really scary. We kind of thought you’d set the drums on fire and you’d do it once. Paul is literally, physically playing these drums while they’re blazing up. And then they’re like, “We need to do it again to get another shot.” We wound up doing it maybe four different times, and each time Paul’s getting redder and redder and he’s literally emanating heat from himself. That was kind of scary. And the part where people got hurt the most was, oddly enough, when they were throwing the albums. Those little f-ers are thin and sharp!

Yeah, and you want her But she's so mean (You'll never let her go, why don't you let her go?) You kn-kn-know that if you don't shut your mouth She'll freak out You better get your shit together 'Cause she's bringing you down, now Yeah, boy, you better, you better 'Cause she's an uptown, get-around, anything-goes girl, girl She's a hardcore, candy-store, give-me-some-more girl, girl She's got a wicked sense of humor, can't believe what she says She drinks Bacardi in the morning till it goes to her head And all you want is just to hold her, but she don't go for that She has a hard time coming when she can't hit back Sayin' yeah, and you want her But she's so mean (You'll never let her go, why don't you let her go?) Yeah, and you want her But she's so mean (You'll never let her go, why don't you let her go?) Every now and then she makes you just a little bit crazy She'll turn the knife into your back and then she's calling you 'baby' Crazy She'll make you take her to the club, but then she leaves with her friends She likes to stay late at the party cause the fun never ends And all her clothes are on the floor, and all your records are scratched She's like a one-way ticket cause you can't come back Sayin' yeah, and you want her But she's so mean (You'll never let her go, why don't you let her go?) Yeah, and you want her But she's so mean (You'll never let her go, why don't you let her go?) Fun tune! MB20 was probably the finest rock/pop group to come along in past 25 years! End of story 👍

When I was younger me and my dad listen to this song all the time. We still listen to it. It's one of our favorite songs. I'm 17 year old. There is a lot of songs that me and my dad listen to that I was younger and still listen to.

My Older Brother William was 15 years old and I was 11 years old when Matchbox Twenty released "She's So Mean" on June the 12th of 2012.

I dare you to watch this video and stay in a bad mood. I can't count the number of times I've watched it. When the song comes on my Pandora station, I dance all over my house (and I'm 57...none of that getting too old for that stuff for me!) Such a fun, fun song. I'm so glad they recorded it and made the video. My favorite things: the drummer in a suit, the drums catching on fire, Rob's expressions! Also love Kyle Cook's background vocals. Always.

The song is a veiled compliment. It doesn't sound like he would change her even if he could. It seems pretty obvious that he likes her being wild and unpredictable and fun, even if things do get broken, and she can't be controlled by him. Look closely at what she is doing in the video, every time she breaks anything, the setting actually gets cooler. What would it matter if some shit that you would probably end up storing in your basement gets broken?
@Quiwundi10 жыл бұрын
Yeah, who cares if she breaks your guitars! She's wild and unpredictable, that's what makes her awesome! Also, if you actually watch carefully you can tell he's pissed off and the lyrics of the song make it pretty obvious that she is a complete bitch.
@whatreallymatters57110 жыл бұрын
Fueled by Starbucks yeah so so wrong he is smiling what the OP said is wrong I mean it's even in the lyrics. He wants her but she is so mean it's not that hard to see. He isn't posse at all he is excited he even laughs at the end are you blind?

Marina Doshkevich The MEN busy arguing with you OBVIOUSLY would NOT want this type of woman in their lives for very long, IF AT ALL, but I think that what you are trying to get across is that it's quite possible that SOME men might actually want to spend more than one night with this "type" of woman.
@AliciaArol9 жыл бұрын
Marina Doshkevich It's HIGHLY UNLIKELY that he could EVER change her no matter how hard he tried.
