Short pile fur is a such a high-risk high-reward; it's so hard to cut and, sew but it's usually super cuddly and looks awesome. Why must it be like this?

I think my favorite part of that Mongolian fur is hitting it with a slicker brush so it's all long and silky. Stuff is amazing xD

Very little useful information, the information that was provided was vague and mostly just surface level observation. You only even named one fur type, information without any names is mostly useless.

Leonard Greenpaw some people don’t know anything about faux furs and requested a video showing different types, especially what I use. Faux furs generally don’t have a name either, the Mongolian fur is really the only one with a name...

@@CreaturesofNat Other furs do have names, the variety includes Shag, Rabbit, Husky, Bear, Mink (velvet, long, and micro), Sherpa, mongolian (as you had), and many more, each with their own set of characteristics and patterns. A lot of sellers just do a terrible job of properly labeling their items, but that doesnt mean they dont have a proper label.

I do get it online sometimes but It depends where you're from, I'm from Australia so I get a lot of it locally when it's on sale.

Can long pile fur be sheered down to a shorter pile? I want to make a weasel and I can't find the right kind of fur. Also, would I use scissors or a dog grooming sheers to cut down the fur around the face and paws?

i am on a budget but need fur! i just looking for a long pile for an acutally affordable price! any suggestions.....if you know the one in the video that could help. also do you think for the body thats about 9 inches long excluding the underbelly half a yard would work? thanks!

You won't find a long pile fur cheap I'm afraid, they are expensive unfortunately. I'm from Australia so I got that locally, and I would say you'd need at least a yard for that size.

Cat's Fluffy art idk where u live but in Canada there's a store called fabric land. I found some pretty good deals there. I got a meter of fur for $6 yet they have something similar that's $25 for a meter. When I'm at a fabric store, I go to the clearance section because sometimes you could find something good. :)

Crickett Paris I highly just recommend buying online because Joann’s and other fabric stores really don’t carry much higher quality fur (some do but they sell fast) and or they don’t really care much about the fur they’re selling so online shopping is your best bet
