Very informative and educational, we American citizens need to know what's out there waiting for us and get real about our cultural and military arrogance with respect to the types of combat equipment other societies are creating to project power and defend their national, merchantile and political interests... This machine is packed with innovations that are very hard for the Western block to marginalize or blow off as far as striking a serious conventional blow to an adversary... We of the U.S. would do ourselves a great service to cut out all of our chest beating and realize there are other "gorillas" out there who're just as tough, determined and tech-savvy as we are when it comes to fielding killer types of advanced military hardware and get busy on producing our own!!!🚁🔍👀
@frederickgolden66944 жыл бұрын
@@Marco-nr4wy Appreciate your taking a look with both eyes, an experienced and determined pilot using this machine against any perceived threat is going to be an absolute nightmare and no amount of oppositional propaganda either way is going to blunt the devastating outcome that's left in the wake of an Mi-28 attack, it's just that simple, we have our Apache platforms and other types of combat choppers, yes but they're designed to engage an adversary that's not so well-armed up close. This Mi-28 is built to take on multiple-component significant hits and still operate in it's mission, complete it then fly home to repair and if worse come to worse, actually EJECT it's crew and avoid their immediate destruction, that's a feature no current U.S. made combat choppers have, this is a major advantage for the Mi-28 so their rescued crews can live to fight another day providing they can avoid enemy capture after they eject...✨🔍👀

I was always saying that people who think Russia doesn’t care about crew safety are looking at Cold War equipment with modern standards. It is because they are concerned with the protection of the tank and the vehicle that they make tanks as small as possible. Same with the carousel ammorack, comparing that to ammo right behind the front plate or just randomly lying around, concentrating it into a smaller area that is really only detonatable from the side is probably the best you could do before blast doors and blow out panels become a thing. They also had the best helicopter and jet eject mechanisms and that is without contest.

Infantry can conceal themselves asily and just wait for a helicopter to get into 5km and bring it down. It's becoming easier to make sophisticated missiles and harder to counter them. I’ve always admired Russia’s push to allow pilots to ditch their military helicopters , whether the rotor detaching system /ejection seat of the Aligator or this system bailing out the side, the bottom line is the crash suspension or box like the Apache is a joke cause such a large number of career ending injuries most commonly to the spine of the crew. The survival and Injury rations of crashing helicopters is very largely lopsided to Russian helos with a survivability rate that’s nearly perfect opposed to the large number of crews lost or severely injured in Apache impacts.

@Koniving5 жыл бұрын
@Armadio the issue is that a gyro that supports the machine's own upright nature and gyros for separate weapons equipped on turrets or limbs would likely conflict with one another. If this big one is pulling this way to maintain balance while this other one is trying to keep a weapon turret on target as the machine is struggling to regain balance and that direction necessary to keep the weapon upright goes against the direction to restore balance to the machine.... Reason I brought it up is someone I spoke with believes everything out there has gyro stabilized weaponry and doesn't see why a bipedal humanoid combat machine wouldn't have gyros for the weapons themselves.

I find it interesting that the exhaust is designed to exit downwards with the addition of air coming in from the front to help cool it. I wonder if that's really enough to keep it safe from anything but gen 1 IR missiles, can air coming from the front be enough to really cool the exhaust? I'd think that pushing the exhaust upwards to be dispersed by the main rotor might work better, but it's certainly better than the old Hinds with exhaust venting to sides and back of the aircraft.

The Apache is much less armoured in any aspect. It doesn't even have bulletproof glasses
@Internetbutthurt5 жыл бұрын
The hull the Mi-28 is more armored, and the canopy on the Apache is much larger and more vulnerable than the small windows on the Havoc.The Apache was designed to be resilient to 23mm as that was the most common Soviet AAA size but the Soviets upgraded near the end of the cold war to 30mm, which the Havoc was designed to resist. This doesnt mean they are immune to such rounds.

The reason I say the ah 64 apache is better... is because the gun is is what makes an attack helo in my opinion ... ah 64= 1200rds of 30mm and the mi 28= 250rds of 30mm and the combat range is 240nm on the ah 64 and 110 on the mi 28 but other then that there almost = to each other.... it's deadly for sure
@Internetbutthurt4 жыл бұрын
@@ah64dbeast37 the gun really means little. If an attack helicopter is getting to within gun range its doing something wrong. In a war against a peer opponent you are crazy to get within 2-3kms. Its fine when you are flying over 3rd world countries who can barely fight back but all that ammo counts for nothing really. The Havoc's gun is actually better. Both have about the same range though the Havocs combat range is less - it carries much more firepower and armor which makes it heavier

Cool to learn more about one of my all time favorite instruments of death, kinda surprised your videos don't use some RTS game footage, specifically the Wargame trilogy especially for the gun ships.

i noticed that they think a lot on pilot safry in thier attack crafts the K 52 has ejection seats, seems like a nice thing to have our western crafts should learn a bit from them on this front.

@RR-us2kp5 жыл бұрын
I don't think Americans bothered to video their helicopters being hammered. They were probably busy trying to come up with excuses for what happened.

Apache + Hind. based on those names, the hammering (a disgusting, illegal kind of hammering) is logical the other way 'round

Related to other video, A-10 Warthogs, what is main tactical difference of attack helicopters and jets? Both can fly 200km/h speeds if needed, about same flight time(?).

What's the difference between HE and anti personnel ammunition? It feels like HE is already anti personnel (am stupid bear with me pls)
@joelau23835 жыл бұрын
HE is like old WWII shock wave grenade and anti personnel is like fragment grenade. HE is more useful for destroying light armor vehicle, structure, ammunition and equipment.
