Personally I find him a great spouse and I think they love and respect each other, which is the important thing. I've been following them for quite some time and I don't consider myself a fan or anything like that but I see them a lot on social media and I've never seen him as people say. I suppose he will be a little immature at times (guys, remember they're 20ish, like come on) but he seems to me more than anything someone direct and sincere. We are idealizing a false idea of romantic love as if we lived in a fairy tale that doesn't exist girls. and I too think we deserve a beautiful and romantic love, But you also have to be realistic and know how to accept your partner's honest opinion even if you often don't like it. Like we also have a lot of bad things it's okay for them to talk about it cause we are no perfect and have to accept that to improve. And that's not bad treatment, it's reality, if you don't want your spouses to tell you that or not "treat" you like that, it doesn't mean that they don't think it, they just keep it to themselves so it doesn't bother you, but it's there, and I prefer someone real who tells me things as they are, And that will mean that we can always work together.

Take the time to study how women have been treated by men throughout history. Even in recent history. We have been dominated, used, and abused - and in many cultures still are. I’m glad you dropped that friend. To give you another perspective as well, there are more types of privileges other than being poor or rich. When someone calls another person a “privileged white man” there’s a good chance they’re saying that man was privileged enough to never worry about the color of his skin, or even feel in danger because of it. The average black man most definitely will. It’s also not 100% clean cut. It’s complicated. And assuming someone is completely privileged in a general sense is… very strange? I just watched a man at a restaurant talk about himself for an hour and a half before the young lady came up to my bar and asked for help getting out of the situation because the guy was an absolute creep. My kids never had their own accounts but most of my friends kids had social media from when they were babies. It was the norm for so long, and I have seen good come from family posts… but in the last couple years more and more bad has come from them (and I don’t know if the good is worth the risk of the bad). She may decide to stop showing the kids regularly eventually if she’s treated with respect while being educated of the dangers. Her heart is big when it comes to her kids so I expect her content will change as she learns. The world is a scary place sometimes, and how to protect our babies is a learning process.

When covid hit, “ kill all men” started, more hate towards men were happening & i started to fall more towards that. once i deleted tik tok and formed my opinions off of my OWN experiences, everything changed. my male friends were more protective of me , my grandfather & uncles made me feel more loved & safe & much more. now dont get me wrong, men should be held accountable for their actions & they aren’t perfect as we know BUT they arent all bad. I no longer hate men & it has helped my relationships as a straight person strive way more when you dont have resentment towards the poor actions of other men. Personally I find him a great spouse and I think they love and respect each other, which is the important thing. We are idealizing a false idea of romantic love as if we lived in a fairy tale that doesn't exist girls. and I too think we deserve a beautiful and romantic love, But you also have to be realistic and know how to accept your partner's honest opinion even if you often don't like it. Like we also have a lot of bad things it's okay for them to talk about it cause we are no perfect and have to accept that to improve. And that's not bad treatment, it's reality, if you don't want your spouses to tell you that or not "treat" you like that, it doesn't mean that they don't think it, they just keep it to themselves so it doesn't bother you, but it's there, and I prefer someone real who tells me things as they are, And that will mean that we can always work together.

All these comments saying "just raise him right" are interesting. I definitely think this lady is being a bit dramatic and isn't leaving room for some much needed nuance, however, trying to pretend that there hasn't been a cultural shift towards men inherently being bad or it being a norm to assume that you are a bad actor as a man and the onus being on you to convince everyone that you're not one of the majority is the reality. In an attempt to "fight the patriarchy" many an extremist has been created. There are definitely large proportions of women who lament their attraction to men because men are so horrible, let's not pretend there wasn't just a whole trend about choosing to be stuck in the woods with a wild beast rather than a man because men are more dangerous than a literal bear. Men are trash. (I know, I know, these are all thought experiments and created to stir conversation and change, we don't actually believe that all men are trash, but the reality is that as a man the assumption is that you are trash until you can prove otherwise by your actions) It is undeniable that there are permeations of very anti-men sentiments in modern society. Is it something to weep over on the internet? Probably not. Can a mother be upset and concerned for her son? Sure, why not. Isn't that the literal point of these movements like "men are trash" to get people to think how should I raise my son in light of a world where men are seen in such a bad light? (whether you believe them being seen as such is justified or not). Saying "just raise him right" is the height of gaslighting and irony because imagine telling mothers to do that with their daughters. Just raise her right, the patriarchy only applies to women who aren't raised right. The scales are by no means equivalent, however, there is definitely a hilarious parallel to be drawn. I think her premise is the real issue. "we live in such a man hating culture" is a bit devoid of perspective and nuance so I definitely don't agree with her but "just raise him right" is very interesting.

It goes both ways. People need to stop making it a competition nowadays about men and female. We are all the same. Yes, there are some evil man and some evil women out there but that's exactly why as a parent, you should teach your child and lead by example, and I'm sorry, but if your child turns out to be shit, that might not be all your fault, but you should pay attention to the way your children treats people when they're young so you can stop bullying and bad behavior at a young age🤷‍♀️ it's rlly not that hard to be a good person and it's easy to be a piece of shit...but the choice is yours

I sort of understand her, there are women who genuinely hate men and there are men who genuinely hate women. As a mother you love your baby and you can be scared that your baby will be ostracized because of one reason or another. I believe we should be all equal in this world, forgiving and respectful and we shouldn’t villainize a mom who’s scared about her kids future even though her fear may be irrational
