I think Matt Damon handled talking about Weinstein and the fact that he's a successful actor now even though they worked together in the past far better than any other guest Stephen has had involving the sexual harassment/misconduct stories recently.

The Weinstein comment probably would've been better left unsaid. I agree Damon is talented and I like his movies. However, I think his comment was a ploy to distance himself from Weinstein's behavior (and horrible person, in general) so he wouldn't lose points with the public. I find it really hard to believe, given his position and movie making history in Hollywood, he didn't have know about Weinstein. Damon may have not known the level of depravity but he knew enough and should've stepped forward far earlier than he did. I'm not a hater, just facts.
@davidc28383 жыл бұрын
@@jenniferwilcox9759 You don't actually KNOW the facts with Damon and Weinstein...so they are NOT in fact, facts. It's all a hypothesis on your part...which is fine. But it doesn't actually mean it's correct. He addressed several things all at once.

You could see and hear the emotion when he talks about revisiting the park bench. He kept it under control...but just barely. That was such an incredible scene in the movie...I've watched it over and over through the years and still marvel at both of their performances - especially Robin's masterful speech. Matt's character quips at the start "Is this like a Taster's Choice moment between guys?" and then Robin proceeds to deliver the most incredible dialogue ever in a film. I also loved his performance in What Dreams May Come. RIP Robin Williams. But kudos to Matt and Ben for the amazing work creating GWH.
