The Matt Helders Jam Session - Drummer of ‪@arcticmonkeys‬ and AWESOME friend.
Matt Helders came to my house for a cup of Tea and a Jam with me. We had the best time! We jammed loads of songs together and had a lot of fun improvising drum beats.

I would sincerely like to thank the parents and especially Nandi. The joy and warmth it brings to my heart is immeasurable. Not taking the time have children of my own I am exceedingly proud of her. I share these exact sentiments. Her rise to her level now has inspired even pro musicians. Wild. The positivity of a kid is so palpable in the eyes of adults that see the world differently. She's going to go so far and dare I say usher in the next generation of real musicians back into the fold. Through beat machines and samples we've hit a rough patch of real musicians going mainstream and she is a breath of fresh air in my eyes. I grew up listening to garage bands before there was a soundcloud and remember when rock meant something. I didn't think I'd see it again but here she is. She's inspiring young musicians across the void and the next 10 years of music looks pretty good. Let's buy some merchandise and make sure she keeps the momentum up. Can't wait to see her rock out with so many other artists.

They've all been extremely private since the beginning though. No social media, not too many videos beyond obligatory interviews, no media appearances. Matt has always been the only one who does random things like this occasionally

How lucky we are to have a interview like this, Matt Helders is so nice, it's weird to watch a monkey's members be like this, i mean it's not really like a TV Show you know, you can see how this guy is, i don't know, just human, learn more about someone you idolate because is a great musician is just a chance, thanks to him and this girl, amazing. COOLEST THING EVER I HAVE TO TELL YOU.... ok so my friends mum was going to the UK (we live in Ireland) for one of her friends 50th birthday. They rented out this gorgeous house for the weekend. GUESS WHO WAS THERE THE WEEK BEFORE RECORDING THEIR 7TH ALBUM. YOU GUESSED IT; ALEX TURNER, MATT HELDERS, JAMIE COOK AND NICK O MALLEY. i got to see a vid of the house and let me tell you... IT WAS INSANE. There was this huge long room with two long tables that I could picture miles and louise sitting at, and adjacent to that there was a huge sofa I could picture the monkeys sitting at :D then there was also a big grand piano I could picture alex sitting at... which makes me wonder if this record will be more jazzy like tbhc as supposed to rock like AM. AHHHHH anyway Ik this was long but i had to tell someone hehe oh and also... NEW ALBUM MEANS TOUR EEEEEE... so in response to your question, they're recording it now!!!
