Matterhorn Switzerland Hike | Day 3: Hörnli Hut - the Base Camp | Zermatt Switzerland

This is my Matterhorn Switzerland Hike vlog #3. On day 3 of my 10-day hut-to-hut trekking above Zermatt, I hiked to Hörnli Hut, the base camp for the Matterhorn climb. The Hörnli Ridge is the closest to the Matterhorn an ordinary hiker can go and be able to touch the Matterhorn wall! It was a close-up and personal experience with Matterhorn. 最初に小屋が見えたときは、一体どうやってあそこまで登るのだろう、って心配しました。実際は急ですが、トレイルが整備されていて、下から見るほど怖くはなかったです。登頂するクライマー達は別として、私みたいな普通の人が行かれるのはあそこまでです。さすがにマッターホルンが近かったです！

Hi Sunny, we just returned from Zermatt and we did several hikes you have done but your videos are wider and better than ours. Can you share what you shot your hornlihutte hike video with? We only shoot video for us and family but we would like to get wider shots like you did.

Awww you are just there in Zermatt! I'm sure you had a wonderful time! I miss the Matterhorn. The Hornlihutte video was filmed with Sony a7c, iphone 13 pro, and GoPro combination. Wide shots were probably shot with iphone. Thank you for watching! I'll be back in Zermatt in January to capture the Matterhorn in the snow.

I think it took me about 2-3 hours. Of course, I stopped many times to film this 😉 This trail involves a steady ascent with impressive view. Have a good trip!
