Love the tip on how to widen the shoe. I have a hard time finding a good quality shoe wide enough for my feet. So I tend to have to settle for whatever shoe is wide enough. Great job! And thanks for the tip.

does the cordage hurt the foot now that it sits directly on the skin?
@travismavis67908 жыл бұрын
i was wondering the same exact thing
@frankc64307 жыл бұрын
it should not hurt, depending of type of cordage and how tight they are...paracord or regular laces or leather or flat cordage is what sandals are made of, if using vines or roots then got to chose the smoothest part or process by shaving it on the critical places specially between toe , (it can be wrap a small piece of cloth on the cordage used )...if shoe or sandals moves too much on the foot while walking ,they will rub on skin if not tight enough too....I use beach sandals all summer and it only bother my feet when they are loose on the foot; I seen primitive sandals done in my country by the peruvian indians in the mountains using modern (tires) materials to fit their needs, they don`t use boots or shoes out there ....just my 2 cents.

He said in another video that the laces don't really rub up against your skin and if they do he would change up the lacing pattern as needed to reduce any rubbing in the same spots

good idea to carry good flat sandals as a backup footwear I guess... those feet need relax time when possible...in south america they make and sell just the sandals souls made from worn out car tires threads shaped like insoles to your feet , primitive enough I guess.
