I feel like your results on the map-click test suffered a bit from impatience/urgency of a timed (and recorded) testing situation and that you could have done even better, since it was giving you the state names when you clicked on wrong ones. But I think you did quite well on both for someone who doesn't live here. I'm from the US, and got 48/50 on the 'list' one, and two rushed mistakes on the map one. But if you give me a blank map with no prompting I can fill in all of the states (and Canadian provinces and territories) from memory. Then again, I live here, really like maps, and have actually visited all but one of the states (and two Canadian provinces/territories) via road trips. You did far better than my 27 countries on the Europe map, though I'm proud to say that I remembered the Baltic States, and after it was over most of the ones I'd missed at least sounded familiar, heheh.

As soon as you said Washington and didn't say Oregon right after, I knew Oregon was going missed

As an American from Ohio, I always find it strange that people from outside the US know literally anything about Ohio. We have nothing here

im from massachussets and was honestly pretty surprised at how late you guessed it considering how much it ties into the uk's history lol

I did this one the other day.. Got all 50 with about 40s to spare. The US State Capitols one is rock hard. I'm british but I grew up in the USA. :D

If I had the spell them, I'd do very terribly

@@tomrogue13 There's mnemonics for Massachusetts and Mississippi; those are the only truly tricky ones i think..

4:15 😂 Louisiana, yes we're right of Texas and we have Mardi gras, it ain't just NOLA. We close school for it and every thing

From the Netherlands, did this a while back and I got like 40-50%. But funnily enough I got a fair few of the ones you didn't get. I struggled most with the square states in the middle and the small states in the north east.

I'm from the UK and got them all right on both quizzes, but I've lived the USA for 14 years, which is a very slow way of cheating. Would have done OK naming before I moved here, but not done so well on where the states are.

I would have done very well at this one, but that's because I was tested on it in school nearly every year. I used to know all the capital cities as well, but that knowledge has escaped me!

I'm from the US and have been to over half the states so I got them all right (it's capitals I always forget) If they have one for UK counties I should try that, I think I can get all of England and Wales, but not all of Scotland or N Ireland.

Since I'm American and I'm pretty sure I could ace those tests (other than possibly mixing up the placement of Colorado vs Wyoming and New Hampshire vs Vermont) I decided to try to name and place the Canadian provinces and territories. I got 69% on naming them. I'm doing this on my phone so auto complete took care of spelling Saskatchewan for me. And I got 65% on placing them. I think that's pretty impressive considering I've never driven further north than Arkansas. I've gone as far north as Michigan but I was too young to read the map at that time.

When you don't know American History, it's easy to forget how linked the colonies were to Europe, especially England. A lot of East Coast states have their names from Kings and Queens, as well as English places.

(AU) I can name the US states without issue (spelling some of them correctly is another matter). Placing them as well... I often have problems with the states along southern parts of the Mississippi River. Helps that I've visited 28 of them.

As a Dutch person I'd recognize many of the names because of Crusader Kings, but I definitely can't actively recall or place them.

"Forced to learn" is a good descriptor. And "forced to learn" is not a good way to make one "remember". as for me I could barely name all 50 states, much less place them.

You did very well. I've lived in the US for eight years and can name all the states. I've met Americans who didn't know Wyoming or Nebraska exist

Don't worry, lived in the US all my life, minus a couple of vacations. When I told people I was going to go to school in Nebraska (not the main Universities) they didn't know where Nebraska was either.

Ask an American to do the counties of England . Years back 60% of Americans thought that the Beatles were American . So as far as I am concerned you were brilliant .
