I am somewhat of a New Christian. Tho I have had knowledge of scripture and Christianity, my life wasn't changed by it. I came back because I had no where else to go. On social media, news reports I cannot help but see the increase in lawlessness. So in my new found faith I have been engaging with others to try to share the gospel. I am glad I found this channel as the Bible Explained has a interesting perspective I have not heard. So I am learning, relearning and I am humbled.

I just finished reading the entire Old Testament…I know! And now I’m so so ready to begin anew with Jesus. Though I’ve read parts of the Gospels and letters of the NT, this is the first time I’ll be reading it all the way through. Before I begin any book, I watch y’all’s video introduction. But this one hit different. It really gave me the feels! The way the actor portraying Jesus smiled at the end while he looked into the chest representing the OT…gets me very very excited for this journey! Thank you to all y’all who put these videos and your other resources together. They’ve been very helpful in my understanding.❤

David, since the last time I saw you, my faith has been sliding farther and farther and I’m convinced that I’ve gone too far to return to the faith. I feel like Moses, who led the flock to the promised land and couldn’t enter myself. I’ve been questioning faith and God and I don’t know if I’ll ever get my answers. I hope you’ll pray for me. Hey Tracy! It's so good to hear from you. I am so sorry things have been hard lately, but I'm so glad you reached out. All of us go through seasons of doubt and slipping. That does not mean we have gone too far. Don't forget Peter denied Jesus while he was being sentenced to death. Don't forget Paul murdered Christians in the name of his God. Don't forget, even Moses who didn't enter the Promised Land, was with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. Your salvation is not based on how little you sin or how short your seasons of struggle are. Your salvation is based on the perfect sacrifice Jesus made for you, and your perseverance in trusting in it. Some times that trust, or faith, is so tiny it's impossible to see. But remember two things. God can hold onto you even when you aren't holding on to him. And Jesus said that faith the size of a tiny mustard seed can move mountains. Hold on to what little faith you have, pray that God grows it, and trust that Jesus is sufficient for you and your struggles. He knew everything you would do and all the doubts you would have and he still came and died for you. Hold on to hope.

Sure! Good question. In Matthew 13:52, Jesus describes a teacher of the law, or scribe, trained in the kingdom of heaven. You can read that text to see where we got the imagery for this video.

@@SpokenGospel WOW! I studied Matthew 13 for quite awhile and always got stuck on the parable of the scribe bringing new and old treasures out. This totally makes sense! Thank you so much for this ministry! I also think it’s interesting that The Spirit led Matthew to end the discourse PACKED with parables with this parable. As you pointed out, Matthew brings out so much of the Old Testament fulfillment, but he also presents the secrets of The Kingdom through Jesus’ parables. 🤯🤯🤯

Note Both in Matthew 1&2 and Luke 1&2 there is not date of birth. As for those idols it's quite simple it's to spread confusion to blind our eyes to the True Messiah.
