They probably took inspiration from how the Faker Pass sold. It also had some old cheaper E-sport skins in it alongside the new Leblanc skin. It probably did so well they decided that they could do the same for this new permanent event system: 3 cheap skins included in the paid set and 1 normal tier skin (the "Prestige" Katarina). They just threw in an extra cheap skin for the free version of the pass as well.

"Never" has no meaning with Riot anymore. Honor Tokens are supposed to be there forever and "never" taken away as in the description of the Honor Token itself, yet they will remove it. Prestige skins where supposed to be one-time items (when the very first ones rolled out) and yet you can now buy them with mythic essence. That these skins will "never" be in the pool is an absolute joke and will change in a year or so.

@@thatoneguywhosaysbyethenwa1720 I asked why keep them, you need to disenchant them for essence emporium anyways hence my question, in the past (if you had all the champs) the only reason to keep the shards was to use them in unlocking mastery level 6 and 7, because you needed something like 2500 and 2900 blue essence for lvl 6 and lvl 7, and the most expensive shards would disenchant at around 1200, which means you lose if you used blue essence to level up rather than using a champ shard, that is even greater loss of BE when you wanted to level a 450 Champ which only gives you 90 BE when disenchanting. But now there is no need to keep them, the champs won’t get more expensive, their price will only go down, so you basically lose BE if you wait to collect them now

Hi, remember the new system gatcha provides mythic esence, meaning that changes like remiving ramdom skins shards means people could not use the mythic essense from there, as well as rotating the mythic shop faster would mean that people might not have enough battle passes or time to get the skins they want so they will be tempted to pull on the gatcha system, similarly they are removing extra tokens on the battlepass, which means not more mythic essense for players who grind. Howevere a positive side is that their new skins have so much low quality that at least I dont feel tempted to get any (at least not for the price they are listing) like the new katarina prestigue is more like a small touch to her base skin I promese the first time I saw it I thought it was a 975 rp skin.

Since this game is f2p i wouldn't mind if riot just straight up said "We are removing f2p options and now everything cosmetic can only be bought with money. You dont have to pay money to play the game since its a f2p game, but we wont give you free cosmetics anymore". That would be sad but i'd be alright with it since its reasonable. Not everyone will like it and a lot of players will leave, but thats fair and transparent. However riot is not like that, and they are anything but transparent about it. They love saying that they love everyone in the community, that they thank everyone, and yet they almost never nerf any of the paid content unless it has an obvius exploit attached to it, or its something exclusive that they are now making common for no reason. Well, the thing Riot didn't understand yet is that people are not stupid. They'll know what is good and what is bad, especially when it comes to spending their money. People are just stop buying then, except some people that have specific demand for skins (like streamer, KZbinrs,..) or people who can spend money recklessly. That's is really bad, because the game now will move in the direction that doesn't benefits the majority, and start to prioritize a group of people. It'll drive less and less new player to join the base, and because the nature of limited resources, have to hyper-drain the specific group that it depending on. That's will be the end, it's obviously that won't work in a long run. It's sad to see the game you like die like this, with so much potential if it move in the right direction.

I played this game for 10 years by this point. All those nerfs and negative changes actually disgusted me away from this game. For like 6 months now i barely touched this game, which for me is very weird. I just have no energy anymore for all this negativity. And now the thing with this gacha system. How do they manage to make it worse and worse? They really never fail to dissapoint. I wish this game would just vanish. It's been fun, but that was years ago. Only Arena and Swarm brought a spark of joy for a short time.

With the new client update and such the Missions for the Serascam Ultimate kda all out have been removed completely, such has happened to me, made a ticket and they replied by saying its a known issues and it will be fixed in Some time... imagine spending 20+ euro like me just be to stuck with the first form until god knows when... i played league for 11 years, and holy shit what bad company riot have become. in 2014/2015 we buy skins to help this company to grow up because we love the game, now you HAVE to buy skin because you NEED the skin. what a joke, nowdays its impossible to collect all skins of your favorite champion because you have to pay $250 for a shit skin. The biggest nerf is the random skin shard from the mythic essence, then the orange essence. The system would be decent value if the first was around particularly then you would get a lot of skin shards. The orange essence means you then could then buy capsules and get some value . This way all those rerolls and the people who build up mythic essence will end up only getting all the mythic shop items that they dont really want including icons because thats all they can spend it on. Its suprising they are removing mastery chests the change they made from when you could play one session a month aram with friends to get 4 and to get 50 easily in a year to getting 18 with more effort and then having to playing a thousand games a year to get another 75 was almost genius, they were saying the new system gives you more but the old system was 1 chest per hour of game play , versus 1 chest for about 10 hours game play.

I thought these updates were supposed to make free passes more rewarding, while the sanctum was for whales. Seems like these new passes are even worse than the old ones, since we can’t choose what we get. You’d think they would at least let us choose from the epic skins in the pool instead of throwing one skin at every player who may not even play the champion. But nah, they’re still greedy. More greedy, even. Such a simple addition to the pass that is ignored to ensure everyone buys the pass to get what they want.
