Mawangdui Daoyin is an ancient Chinese system of Qigong that is designed to stimulate the 12 meridians and promotes health and physical fitness. It is based on a series of forms shown on the famous silk paintings excavated from the Mawangdui temple of Changsha, Hunan Province. Discovered in the 1970s, they are among the oldest and best preserved silk works in China, and provide a fascinating insight into the early history of qigong.
