Thats the reason why here in the first place. It doesn't get any better than this. Please keep up the good work. Your facial expression is priceless.

I love traditional foods of the Philippines. One of my favorite is adabo and limpia. JL, I pretty much felt you were Cambodian were I saw you. Having lived in Philly a few years and worked with the Cambodian Community in South Philly I really began to appreciate Cambodian food as one of my Asian favorites. I hope you do a Cambodian restaurant one day.

Great selection of Philippino cooking. I've had very good Phillipino food at several restaurants in Queens, NY & in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area. Some very distinct flavors with a lot of regional specialty dishes! It seems that Max's is more mainstream, catering to the American/Filipino population!

Max’s started as a chain of fried chicken restaurants in the Philippines back in the 1940s. Over the years it grew populat because of it’s Filipino style fried chicken which is crispy outside without the breading and juicy on the inside. In the early 2000’s it started to acquire other restaurants under the Max’s group. Today it is one of the most successful restaurant group of companies which owns other other popular food chains including pancake house, Yellow Cab Pizza teriyaki boy, Dencio’s, Jamba Juice, Kabisera, Le Couer de France and even the Philippine franchise of Krispy Kreme.

So glad to watch you cover some food from the motherland.🇵🇭 You didn’t order too much, that just means you got breakfast/lunch for tomorrow. 😂 Especially that garlic rice? Just throw a fried egg on top & have some leftover BBQ or other meat with that (hello chicken or pork adobo) & you’re set. And yeaaah, lumpia shanghai is crack. Sinigang is the best soup to have when sick especially. Can be a lil tart & or spicy but you’ll have no problem tasting it for when you have bad cold/flu. 😩 PS, you’re not wrong for having pancit with rice. Enjoy our food how you want to! It’s not a Filipino plate until you think it’s too much food 🤣
