Thank you letting us know about this organization. Dogs in Asia are my biggest concern and worry. I literally lose sleep thinking about these poor innocent animals over there. I gladdens my heart to know that there IS someone over in Asia rescuing these poor animals.... especially in China, Vietnam, Korea. It's awful. I will definitely donate to this organization. Max is the spitting image of the lean version of Tony. Beautiful dog. Can I just say, Matilda makes me so happy. Seeing her come into view, wagging her tail then flopping down on her side and back, a big smile on her beautiful face makes me smile, every time. I just love her.

That _imaginary "place"_ is strictly an ancient, *human-manufactured concept.* Max and the other doggos likely *feel secure,* enjoy their *natural surroundings* (and comfy beds) and the *company* of all (or most of) the other dogs, cats, animals and, of course, *Lee* and his *remarkable team* at Asher House.

Amazing. I confess that beyond the loss of human lives, one of the things that has haunted me since the pullout from Afghanistan were the reports of the military dogs left on the tarmac. @scarletteohara2482 - The only ads I seem to get now _precede_ the video, are typically a tolerable, *10-15 seconds long,* with no option to "skip" by clicking past them after 5 seconds, like was possible until this year. On some channels (including Lee's), the host/content creator _recites the text provided_ by the *sponsoring company,* sometimes adding their own _personal statement/endorsement_ about the product or service. I wasn't pleased with Lee recently promoting *Purina,* given that they *still* keep *_captive dogs and cats_* enclosed 24/7 in small, stainless steel kennels, not much bigger than the animals themselves, in their *labs* to test products. There's no _enrichment or play,_ and the test animals have *_no interaction with other dogs_* (or cats) also there for *_testing ingredients,_* and never get to _go outside or run free._ They're not treated as pets by clinicians - but as *test subjects* (who are *euthanized* once a study concludes), for post mortem tissue analysis.

There are two beautiful abandoned shepherds in the Laredo animal shelter who were dumped together out in no man's land. They resemble this dog. If anyone is close to Laredo and could intervene it would be great. So many people see these comments maybe something cam happen for these two shepherds. NDLB is amazing, and I recognize a NE accent when I hear one!😂 Also, I know "Max" is a common name, esp. for sheps, but it's the one my dd souldog (in photo here) was given before I adopted him. So I kept it, obvs, and now I can't help but feel for any dog w/this name. Anyway, we know this Max from Afghanistan will have a happy, peaceful life at the Asher House. I just went on their website to read more about this organization and I am in awe for what they do for those beautiful dogs! I have watched a few (I usually have a hard time making it through the whole video) videos showing rescues of dogs that are either held at those slaughter houses or people transporting those poor pups there. The look in those pups eyes are beyond the word heartbreaking! The fear and hopelessness in their eyes would make the toughest person break down in tears! A HUGE thank you to this organization for all they do to save these babies lives! ❤
