I seriously would LOVE for this to become a popular activity. This is what chess boxing should have been. Also, imagine the theory that could develop when moving kingside pieces takes more time than moving queenside pieces. You could even have insane variants where the clock is 20 yards away from the board, or have odds matches where the stronger player's pieces are much heavier than the weaker player's. The possibilities are endless.

And you're allowed to cuss in your native langauge only on the way to the confessional booth. Then once you enter the booth, Maurice, Jen and Yasser would randomly taunt you for the benefit of the world watching while you sweat. Make it pay-per-view, and profit$.

yeah and that doesn't make much sense, for the game I mean. They should have something like a remote to click the clock. Probably there would be less movement but the game would make more sense.

Technically the ruling on that is not standardized some chess federations use others do not as per the description nakamura gave as to how he accidently made that blunder being that of being more familiar under the federation that supports his action.

There's maybe no one in the world who has found their niche in life better than Danny Rensch. His motormouth enthusiasm is so infectious, his teaching and commentary so engaging, and his actual chess knowledge and skill so strong (if you disagree just bear in mind he regularly takes games, even series of games, from some of the world's best players, and he's technically an amateur) that there's no more perfect ambassador for the game imaginable. All hail the Renschmeister!

This is actually a tremendous creative way of playing chess, its actually a type of training in crossfit called, AMRAP(as many rounds as possible). Just imagine if the pieces were to be weighted and instead of lifting them, push them through the board so you re activating all your body. The more the time passes, the moré exhausted you re which translates into a more difficult thinking process as the more you play the less sugar is left in you brain. Think seriously about that.
