As Van Man said, the song is about Ryo, the guitarist, being bullied at school and how he dealt with it. At first he wanted to do some pretty bad things to get revenge but he learned to deal with his feelings in a peaceful manner and to move past his pain. All of their songs tell a story, and it is usually best to get a bit of background before going into one of their songs. I know a lot of people suggest Alien (let’s just say that song is a bit different). Before going into that, understand that Winny was a Japanese file-sharing site similar to Napster in the US. The song makes some sense if you know that.

I’ve lost count of how many Youshu Fukushu reactions I’ve watched, but you are the first reactor to take the time to look up a translation of the lyrics or title, or even comment on how all four of the members fall down and die in the animated chalk board. MAXIMUM THE RYO-KUN wrote this song about being bullied in 8th grade. The video is at in a typical Japanese public school. First we we see exterior, then a hallway, and then the band performs in a class room, and finally, on the roof. The amazing graphics come from a manga they commissioned to tell that story as a part of a CD/DVD box set. All four members sing, just like the Beatles and Kiss. Watch all their videos (there are not too many). You will see one about healthy diet and weight loss, and another about how we all need to stop uploading our music libraries to Winni.

Great reaction! I would like to recommend Maximum the Hormone "Hungry Pride". Now as an old school Metal/Hard Rock fan I would also Highly recommend a band that has singlehandedly revived my love for the music of my youth of the late 70's through the 90's and that band is Band-Maid. I cannot say enough of this band, they have taken the best elements of Hard Rock/Metal, Punk, Funk, Blues and Pop and have created something entirely uniquely their own yet familiar and extremely catchy. They are master level musicians that happen to be great songwriters. Their songs are primarily in Japanese blended with some English. Now what truly has me surprised is that I find myself mimicking the Japanese vocal parts and preferring it over the english. It has been somewhat difficult to categorize into particular genre, the closest has been Hard Rock/Metal. They have often been grouped with Lovebites and a few other Japanese bands because of their gender and country origin but musically they are totally different. I would say Lovebites is more of a traditional speed metal band along the lines of a Merciful Fate, Helloween, etc...In my opinion they are impressive virtuosic instrumentalists and I have always been a sucker for shredding guitar playing but after all is said and done its like candy when you crave steak. In retrospect I feel they offer more nostalgia than something different. On the other hand I feel Band-Maid offers something completely different with a distinct signature of their own regardless of any particular style they choose to incorporate within their songs. When you hear it you know it's them and nobody else but them. Their drummer Akane is an incredible drummer and attributes the drummer of Maximum the Hormone as one of her major influences. I can say with confidence that Band-Maid is incapable of producing a subpar track and which makes it hard to recommend one track over another but I will provide a few of my favorites below if you want to get the ball rolling: Rinne (MV), Moratorium (Live), Blooming (Live), Puzzle (Live), Play (Live), Secret My Lips (MV), Real Existence (MV or Live), No God (Live), Warning (MV or Live), I better stop there otherwise I will list them all. I hope you consider checking them out, they are a band that needs to be illuminated.

They are also incredible live Iv had the pleasure a couple of times. One question do you think they would benefit from ditching the maid thing to better appeal to western metal fans? (Who as we know can be quite snobby about gimmicks)
@yang-it-yin70023 жыл бұрын
@@vanmantalks I'm jealous, hope to see them Live once it's possible. I could see the maid costumes may be a bit of an obstacle to the snobbish from giving them a chance. My first impression of them with the costumes actually enhanced my interest due to as Miku has stated "The Gap" which is typically that style of music generally has a masculine hard look associated with it, and they present themselves in a possibly the most feminine submissive soft look which becomes a gap in contrast. I personally feel that may help leave a memorable impression. Many have stated that their musical footprint is so huge that there is no need for the costumes but I can't imagine them otherwise. It's like the band Kiss when they unmasked they became something else and lost that image. I just wish some kind of catalyst would come into play and give them chance to be seen and heard. I'm confident if given that chance their music will hook and reel you in.

I have to respectfully disagree. Lovebites are easily one of the most versatile metal bands around. But you can only go so far when you stay in the confines of metal. Band-Maid cover a wider range of genres, no doubt, but that is also because they have straight up pop songs. Lovebites restrict themselves, because they don't want to soften up. They could easily explore tons of other genres if they wanted though. Their musicianship is up there with the best.
@yang-it-yin70023 жыл бұрын
@@cepho8349 I mean no disrespect for Lovebites I'm definitely a fan. I'm total impressed with their abilities. I understand the limitations of remaining within the boundaries of a genre. Maybe selfishly I wish to see them break those boundaries from time to time because I really curious to see with all that talent where they can take it. Nonetheless what's going on in Japan with all the talented bands keeping Metal/Hard Rock alive is great!

Despite the darker topic of this song, this band is always Maximum The Fun. You're finding out about the depth of Japanese music and MTH have been an inspiration to many. MTH drummer Nao is cited by many current female drummers, and you'll probably see quite a few of them. I will always love MTH but am also getting into a dozen others - Band Maid, Crystal Lake, Nemophila, Sokoninaru, Gacharic Spin and more. Enjoy the ride.

English translation. The lyrics are important in this song. This song is a revenge song of a man who was ridiculed and looked down upon by everyone when he was a student. ----- 7th grade, now 7th grader Ryo's brain. (Ryo is the guitarist and vocalist of this band) Already by week 2 is in CoroCoro Comic Mode. (CoroCoro Comic is a manga magazine for children.) "Hetappi Manga Kenkyujo" is the bible (Hetappi Manga Kenkyujo is a manga with such a title) Wife [help me], nobody can save me Jeez, even big sis... Ahhhhhh For example, if the weight the scale's needled pointed to was 100 grams Going fully around would make 1100 grams the same place. The same place. The same place. Cuz people that judge based on appearances, Without understanding that weight, simply and indiscriminately look down upon others As if they could imagine however many times it it ended up going around I firmly believe there are two sides to every coin Labels like "regular" and "ordinary" for "abnormally normal people" THIS is the result of being tormented by Such "decent" people's "affairs of sanity" Even now still Anger! Look! Motherfucker! The fangs are still sprouting! Shit, let's go! Frustration Go! Teen frustrations which have been possessed and encouraged by rock, even now I'm sick of looking back School kills, white paper, indoor permed delinquents, slamming the strings of a Les Paul Said to be selling influence to fight with seniors menaced by finding hope in poverty It's about time the hatred of us weak people, trembling and aching with pain which doesn't heal, counterattack! Now how 'bout every one go out of their way to kneel before us out of repentance With yo teeth rattling, the sentence is assuming the position and having acorns and konpeitou shoved down your pee hole! Silence! Talk! Piss yourself! Pathetic hah, Heaven and Hell Recite! Spell! Retweet, pretty good! Let's push harder! Until you die! Riot! Riot! Riot! Now laugh! Laugh! Go Fight!! Go Fight!! Go Fight!! Now learn! Learn! Riot! Riot! Riot! Now laugh! Laugh! Go Fight!! Go Fight!! Go Fight!! Now learn! Learn! Yea. Now the reason we've come is to shut y'all up, however With only a white belt we just gotta throw down on your black belt and go home. Uraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! SHUT IT STUPID! aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! SHUSH! Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! Look at whatchu done! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Yea. 'Cuz it's hard just livin' and getting over all the resentment that's come our way Still tinged in blood, this heart's murdered desire... Wants to just get back to living Ok? Like this, even some dumb 14 year old would go and die, right? I honestly don't give a shit if I'm not even reaching anyone anymore Money too can easily be worth nothing but shit Then from here on... Ah! Like, fucking, just acknowledge... Those painful times. 7th grade, and younger Ryo's brain 7th grade, and younger Ryo's brain

Welcome to Maximum The Hormone, they've been around since 1998! A avand-garde, punk, grove metal band from Tokyo, Japan! The members are: Maximum The Ryo-kun: Guitar, dirty vocals Ue-chan: Bass, backup vocals Daisuke-han: main vocals, growler/screamer, crazy dancer Nao: Drums, clean vocals Ryo-kun and Nao are siblings. The founder of MTH are Nao and Daisuke! It was in early 2000s that Ryo and Ue-chan joined the band. The story of the band name is that the band really loves to eat food especially "horumon", Japanese cuisine made from beef or pork offal, so basically they love eating it to the maximum lol. The fans are called "Harapeko" means Hungry person. They have released so EPs (which are great) and 3 main albums these are: Rokkinpo Goroshi (2005) Buikkikaesu (2007) Yoshu Fukushu (2011) Please do more reactions to them! Great reaction ! These guys make some really amazing music. About what you said about Rammstein, I know exactly what you mean, but for me it's Japanese. Because I grew up also watching German TV from the Netherlands, so I can understand their lyrics and a lot of the culture (lots of overlap between both countries/cultures as well). I can tell you the lyrics of Rammstein are actually really good, they have a way with words. But they talk about some horrific subjects (at times trying to shock is just their motto as well). I think most lyrics are by the Till Lindemann, the main vocalist. They are actually very clever lyrics, intricate with layers, I think a lot of Japanese bands do the same. But my Japanese is pretty much non-existent so I can't really judge that well. The advantage and disadvantage of Japanese is that a lot of the language can be very ambiguous, for example a lot of the time the subject (person or thing in the sentence) isn't clear. So is the speaker talking about the listener or themselves or someone else. And because lyrics need to flow, they can be less clear anyone and thus you have less clear squared ! But as said multiple interpretations make it easier to create layers. But to really get started with Japanese you need to put in the time, which I don't really have. If you are interested in an other song which is Japanese and a literally an anti-bullying song, please react to: Babymetal Ijime,Dame,Zettai at Sonisphere, UK 2014

This wonders video is kinda old. The most amazing, innovative band in Japan now is Hanabie, an all-female metal core group that mixes eclectic influences. “Ha-Na-Bi-Eh” (はなびえ) are Yukina (Vo.), Matsuri (Gu., Vo.), Hettsu (Ba.), Sae (Dr.). Check out all their videos. Start with We Love Sweet, then Reiwa Matching Generation, a true masterpiece. But for me, the real ear worn is their metal cover of the pop song Odo (Dance).
