came to this after getting 3 hours into a 7.5 hour pluralsight rigging course for "beginners" and got totally lost, it was certaintly NOT for beginners. Nearly cried with joy after watching this makes it very easy for someone just getting started in the rigging aspect of cg, gives a great base to go onto more complex stuff. thanks so much, great work! definitely going to look into your website for some more good stuff.

I love this tutorial. Its simple, straightforward and refreshes my memory but also improving the little rigging I knew before. But I have to admit I cracked up at 8:13 "The fingers are oooonly going to bend in a certain direction... unless something goes really wrong"

I watched many maya rigging tutorials and many people use twist joints but I just didn't know why and I thought it was because you may need to break the character's arm or leg like their got broken arms and legs...How silly I was...Now I know how it works and why those extra joints are needed.

around 4:31 you have that arm joint, but my joint can only parrent one. how do you do that? when i try to parrent the other one it's removes the one i already made.

In my popup menu i dont see Select Influence (10:40 time). Why? In my popup only Object mode Vertex Edge and more without influence =(

Hey great tutorial. How do you select the next joint when renaming them? For example at 3:44, you rename the shoulder and then it selects the wrist ready for you to rename again?
