maybe late to reply but you could try clicking the other joint first than try to parent it happened to me sometimes

Mike Hermes when you model things too large or you just get too far away from the models they start to disappear and fade into the background. We went over how to change this in class but this was only once and a while ago. It's probably not called view distance in maya but that's what its's called in a few other things, so i hope that clarified it a little.

Hi Mike! I have a problem about my 'Control rigs', I have deleted their history and Froze their transformation, and whenever I use Reset Transformation their Pivot point goes to (0,0,0) of the grid, and not on the (0,0,0) where I froze them.
