Yes, I understand the irony of uploading this on youtube, and no, that will not stop me.

Yes caring about others is important. I think one thing I'd also mention is to take care of yourself first. If you're constantly putting your focus on others, it can become self-destructive. Just something to be careful about. I do like the giving message of it, though. It'd be nice if we cared about each other more like more community-oreinted cultures do.

That’s a good point, burning yourself so that others stay warm is one way I’ve heard prioritizing others before yourself described that I think is fairly descriptive of what happens when you neglect self-care. And yeah, 100% agreed on a more community-based culture being very nice idea, kinda makes me wanna be Amish lol

Makes me think of these verses from Philippians 2 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature[a] God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature[b] of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death- even death on a cross!

This reminded me of a quote from David Scott while on the Apollo 15 mission. "Okay, Houston. As I stand out here in the wonders of the unknown at Hadley, I sort of realize there's a fundamental truth to our nature. Man must explore."

The meaning of life is love, from God and through us. It is the fundamental human vocation, “for man is created in the image and likeness of God who is himself love” (CCC, 1604)

Virtually all of us are locked into the life of "Taoism"... Our very nature is dualistic, subject to polarity internally, externally, circumstantially... Yet our duality by default causes us to attempt to harmonize itself, both within, and with-out... Yin & Yang, regardless of what we view as "good" or "bad", etc. by their very nature cannot Be Harmonized... Light displaces dark, it doesn't mesh with it. I personally 'believe' "99.9999% of Christians, including myself, are existential "Christian Taoists", and 100% of Buddhists, Hindi, Muslim, Satanists, Atheists, Agnostics, Universalists, etc, etc... are Taoist Buddhists, Taoist Hindi, Taoist Muslim, etc, etc... The Spirit of what I just said is that man's Christianity is, in my estimation, an inversion of God's "Christianity". Perhaps the issue facing believers (Christians) isn't so much a matter of sinning or not sinning, but instead our position relative to God... He Being Creator, and us being creature. The nature of His Love & Life Being pure SelfLess Agape Unconditional. The laced nature of our love & life being Self preserving phileo conditional. Perhaps Birthing The Hope of Glory within us is a matter of accepting that we were each Crucified in Christ, and that only He arose... Perhaps accepting that we can never live up to the death we are born into is a sensible reconciliation... And perhaps only the Resurrected Life of Christ Jesus within us can "Live the Christian Life". Perhaps The Fulfillment of the Law is Christ, and Christ alone. Perhaps we are called to Exchange our Self life for the Resurrected Life of Christ within us... Metaphorically- Perhaps our souls are exclusively unique & exclusively sovereign prisms, designed to Only receive, bask in and reflect the Fullness of our Heavenly Father's Harmony- His Love and Light, together.
