maytag agitation no go

the test routine is ok without cloathes... with clothes it does not work correctly.

Evidently transmission was bad, maytag sent a new one, it was bad, next one worked. I left it at the repair shop and never looked back. Bought a new speed queen.

Remove the big plastic pulley underneath,it’s called a splutch kit

This was after a new transmission, drive motor and actuator. Back to the shop it went. I have another when it’s empty it agitates as expected. With a load it’s not. It’s almost like there is a brake on working against the motor. The motor gets hot and I hit cancel to let to drain and spin and stop. No error codes.

Open up the machine and take a look at how it operates. If the belt spins more than the agitator, the problem is overloading. If not it is something else.

yes the replacement trans was no good..i had 2 months left on warranty and I left it at the dealer and went and got a TC5.

A speedqueen would not fail like this because the transmission is all metal! Where as this one is all plastic!

I did.... yes the replacement trans was no good..i left it at the dealer and went and got a TC5. When i bought this maytag SQ just ruined their washer... so the couple years after they reintroduced the classic with a eco mode which we never use and no issues.

Needs the four plastic pieces that make the top part go in one direction.

Needed a new transmission.... it took two from maytag as the 1st replacement as in this video was bad.
