Just got my son a 2006 hatch and we are doing this together along with all the mounts, and everything else. Been a fun project and best of all, he knows everything about his car. Proud dad here!!! Thanks for the great vids!

🔧🔩🏆 Another 5-star DIY how-to video from Ray. I wouldn't have known where to start or how to install the engine mount correctly without this excellent tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to record the video professionally and explain every step in the process. Also, you don't include any distracting background music 😖 in your videos-- an additional 'thanks' for that!

Great video set. Just used all 3. Did noticed both of your torque limits said in-lbf instead of ft-lbf in this one.
@WhitneyAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
The workshop manual uses in-lbf interchangeably. Thanks for your support!

Ray glad to see your back. Quick question when it comes to warming up the Rx-8 is it necessary or should one turn on the car rev it to 2500 rpm for a min or so and just drive off? Your thoughts? Also I know don't shut off cold, the golden rule.
@WhitneyAutomotive5 жыл бұрын
My quick feelings on that... Warm ups are great on pretty much any car. Not just on oil but on transmissions as well. Isn't necessary to rev the vehicle as that would only encourage a "dry" start. So long as the engine is running smoothly, I don't see any need to increase the RPM during a cold start. And yes, don't shut off cold... and if it is hot, allow it to idle for a minute or two before shutting it down as well!

Excellent job. Saving us a lot of money lol. Where can I order these mounts. Should it be OE or aftermarket? Thank you

Aftermarket is fine for a regular build. Amazon, rock auto, eBay, any parts store can hook you up. Thanks for watching!

Super common point of failure. I've had customers that didn't realize how bad the vibration was until they're replaced. The mazda3 really is a smoothly running car when properly operating!

Easy to replace, but what a terrible design, every time you accelerate the engine pulls it up.
