My father bought me a brand new 1990 Mazda 626 Sedan (2.2 litre Automatic) in Prestige Silver Metallic back in 1990 when l was 18 years old. It's now 32 years old and has been my daily driver for all those years ..... It has surpassed 310,000 miles (500,000 + kilometres!!!!!). It still drives like new and l have never had a problem with it in 32 years! People cannot believe it when they see it. Adore it beyond belief! I recently purchased a brand new Mazda 3 sedan, imported from Japan. I had to wait 8 months for it to arrive in Melbourne, Australia (ordered it in March!!) ..... the car is breathtaking, gorgeous, elegant, classy ..... and premium. I am thrilled! I intend to drive both my old Mazda 626 and my new Mazda 3 ..... will never part with either.

@@ag4allgood Exactly and he's still getting info wrong about Mazda. He implied that Mazda makes a good car because of Toyota. That's false and he should know better. They opened a joint plant in Alabama, but we haven't seen the fruits of that partnership yet, but will soon. Toyota owns a 5% share, but that's really it. They have ZERO input in Mazda's manufacturing process and Mazda built the Yaris for Toyota. It's actually a Mazda 2 with a Toyota badge.

After having 9 Hondas, I bought Mazda 2024 CX-30. There are 6 models to choose from. 3 with no turbo engine and 3 without. I chose no turbo because of a bad experience with the CRV turbo. I really am impressed with Mazda. There are a few features I wish it did have but all in all it's quieter on the road and good gas mileage the more I drive it. Very nice interior. For the price, in my local area you would not get a Honda for the features. Mazda is a quite secret. I do consider it a 2 person car for the best comfort of space however. I have a 2020 CX-30 (Select model) and I've been very happy with it, after being a Honda person for years. After 77K miles, I have never had a problem and get over 34 MPG (2-wheel drive). One main point for my choice of Mazda was that they have not gone to the CVT as Honda and Toyota have. They also offer many features as standard and have a better quality interior for the price. I especially like the controls for navigation, entertainment, etc., where you don't use a touchscreen but have the controls on your right side, so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Since I bought this, they have added a turbo model, but I wouldn't be interested since I get all of the performance I could want out of the standard four-cylinder.

I bought a 2021 Mazda6 Carbon Edition last year. Now with 30k miles. Other than the terrible OEM rotors which I had to replace recently, and some oil leak which was fixed under warranty, I absolutely love this vehicle! Best bang for the buck ever. All the luxury features for $33k. It's also a beautiful car!

@@DrJuggyhead Absolutely. A vehicle with 30k miles is pretty close to new. You should have zero problems. An oil leak that early on is a sign of poor quality overall in workmanship. And you should be concerned about what else might crop up after the warranty runs out.

I ended up buying the larger version, the CX-50 that's assembled in the Huntsville Alabama plant. I ended up splurging for the premium plus but I didn't get the turbo. It's larger than the CX-30 but has the same comforts. I want it to last a long time with it being my first new car. I've seen over 32mpg on the highway and the radio setup was definitely part of the reason I chose me vehicle. It's less to look at, less busy on the eyes yet the radio is very intuitive once you figure it out.

I have Mazda CX 30, over 100k miles, haven’t had a single issue and these cars drive like a dream. My combined mpg is 29 which I’m very happy for. I test drove some Toyotas before I got Mazda but couldn’t justify the price tag and the fact that they did not drive well. eight speed automatic in the Camry is all over the place and really not enjoyable. RAV4 had a horrible sound insulation and everything inside was so cheap. The only one that I liked was new Corolla but I could not be happier with my CX-30. I don’t know about the US but in Australia, most Mazda dealers here is a pain to deal with when something goes wrong. There had been a few cases which had resorted to court. Same goes with the Korean’s Kia & Hyundai, despite massive stride for the past few years, their Dealership’s handle of warranty is trash. You would rarely hear anything about Toyota here stranding their customers when it comes to warranty. That’s why Australians still buy lots of Toyota even though prices are absolute crazy. In the end, it mostly comes down to the policies from car makers in each country. I guessed that Toyota Australia put of lot of pressure on Dealers to make sure that their reputation for reliability remain intact.

Great review. I got one over here in Europe, 2L engine 122 hp, still not bad at all. If there is anything I don't like, then it's the cylinder deactivation, which you will not feel unless you run at around 1500-1800rpm in the 5-6 gear. Also, the bouncy ride is something which is a downgrade compared to my old compact car. I hope I get used to that, because it is a really beautiful car with a nice handling and gorgeous interior.
