Mazda RX-7 restoration Ep.2 - the teardown begins! But what will we find?

The restoration of this Japanese sports car begins. We look round the RX-7 to find the good, bad and ugly, we get to work on the underside of the car, finding out just how bad things are and removing and refurbishing the rear axle. But will the rebuild be plain sailing?

So good to see this car getting the attention and care it deserves! Having driven it when Bev first bought it it's brought back many good memories. I remember taking my late father out in it and he thought it was amazing. It was good to meet you when you collected it and I was happy to push it up the drive with you and get it into the trailer!

I was in talks with Bev myself about buying this, my dad had one when i was 8-9 years old in red, sent her an email and by the time i got a reply a few months later i was in the middle of buying an M5 :( I lost my dad in 2018 and ive been trying to find one ever since. Glad to see its gone to someone thatll put it back on the road, just subscribed so ill be following closely 👍 Rob
