Instead of replacing the brake calipers you could get a restoration kit, and replace all the seals. As for the pistons in the calipers you could take somewhere for ultrasonic cleaning

I can’t find that little spoiler anywhere online, been searching even before I got the car, I had a few things in line to do on car, put fan control kit.. waiting for it to get here today, three pod gauge.. done, level out coilovers.. done, paint calipers, done.. get passenger dash cover.. oh boy is that expensive (still looking) , waiting for R3 black with red stitching center console lids and handbrake and paint the wheels since they came all chipped and stuff but need new tires so I’ll wait until then

Nice video, but front not detailed, do you know the function of the rubber over the lower caliper pin and should it move freely in and out?

Is that how the handbrake works when the car is brand new? If so can a rebuild caliper give the same effect?

Anyone know where I can find 2-piece rotors for an 06 rx8 that is NOT racingbrake? I've heard nothing but failure problems from their 2-piece sets and they even told me it is not for track use. USA, please. I know you can find them across the water. But the US has stopped carrying them completely for the rx8.

What calipers did you use? And what were the rotors you used? I live in the US and I bought some centric rotors and they are awful. The slots are too wide and catch the pads. They recommend you bevel the pads, but then you notice stopping power drop. Just spent $1000 on new parts and already want new parts... >:O
@Drivenbymadness5 жыл бұрын
I bought Mtec rotors. They are mazing and also offer coating in black,gold and silver to prevent rust. www.mtecbrakes.com/
