I just wanted to say thank you, last September I was 'pre-diabetic' & the doctor was recommending putting me on diabetes meds. I started your way of eating and my blood glucose has dropped right down to just about normal numbers and I have lost 14kgs. I won't go back to how I used to eat.😘

Dr McDougal I am 76 years old and have followed your program for the past three years. I want to thank you for adding years to my life! I lost 45 lbs on your program! I am so greatful to you! The only medication I currently take is a blood pressure pill which I tried to come off. My blood pressure was low for awhile and then crept up to 158/80 and my dr said to go back on the Ibersartin 75 mg. I only take half daily and my blood pressure is 130/70. I wish I could get off this medication.

The best way to not get pregnant if you don’t want the side effects of hormonal contraception is to use condoms. A man who insists he won’t wear a condom for you isn’t worth sleeping with. Preventing a pregnancy should be the responsibility of both parties, not just the woman’s burden.

Another reason a woman might be having pms/painful periods after switching to a plant-based diet is alcohol. It is very inflammatory and when I cut it out, after going fully plant-based and lost all the weight I needed to, removing alcohol cut my menstrual pain down to a 1 or 2 out of 10.

Back in the summer of 2008 I had a non hormonal IUD inserted for a short time because it was horrible! I had severe pain/cramping with some nonstop bleeding for weeks and I told the doctor that if she didn't remove the evil thing, I'd pull it out myself. I live in NM now where there is no one I'm remotely attracted to, so it's not an issue...and there's the whole menopausal thing. LOL

Dr. McDougall- I just heard about research from Catholic University in Belgium published in journal Cell Metabolism “ that Omega 3 DHA is able to slow cancer tumor growth in mice. I don’t know exact date, but in last couple years. Can you find this research? Thank you!! Research done at UC Lovain in Belgium.
@theartificialsociety3373 Жыл бұрын
Reduce protein if you want to slow cancer. But omega 3, doesnt sound like any mechanism would result in slower cancer unless it reduced certain hormones. Regardless, it would likely be a minor effect compared to reducing protein and depends on cancer. Plus, these kinds of research are not that good in general.
