Very impressive, McGolf, reaming out a Miura head. Guess I’m going to have to get a drill press after all. Awesome video. Thanks!

Jim I ha Miura CB202 iron and just can’t remove the head. I have a shaft puller and heated the head shaft area for at least 5 minutes and it just won’t come out. I never had a shaft I couldn’t pull. Do Miuras have a special epoxy or super tight press fit?

Thanks for sharing - I’ve never heard of this head before. Are they used by any tour player? Maybe on the LPGA?
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
If memory serves kJ Choi used them. If rumors are true, in the early days they Made a lot of OEM forged product for the tour when the OEM didn’t.

Peter Crocitto I know Ryan Moore used them in 2014 to win an event, I believe he borrowed them from his dad and loved em, so he used them that week and won. Same set PP-9003 straight neck. They are an older set though, no one would be playing them anymore. I’ve played them for a few years and fell in love, have been lucky to stock pile a few sets

Thank you everyone - it's getting harder and harder as an average player to select a set of irons to play!

How much to replace ferrules on each iron? Can I send my clubs to you if I live out of state?

Nice toss into the can. Do you disc golf as well?

in my youth I played quite a bit of frizbee. that was the only disc at the time. it was more free style than golf. that was along with skateboarding too

Awesome Content. Question: Is there an industry standard for the size of a ferrule? Is it a USGA standard?
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Matt Revilock nope and that’s great for personalization

You would have saved yourself some time if you would have used a 0.355" tapered spiral reamer right away. Works great on all Miura heads. Spin welding the hosel on creates a fair amount of surface irregularity in the hosel bottom.

Enjoying your videos. FYI, your music at the ferrule sanding was about 3 x as loud as your voice track. Even my cat about jumped straight up in the air!

I was trying to tone it down, Apparently the editor doesn't care if I split the track to adjust.

When you shave off the club head and shaft do you create a possible area where the club head could fail?
@McGolf5 жыл бұрын
Not here, I was removing material so I would fit, removing the coating on the shaft then removing from the head for the fit
