Just rebuilt my Ping i25's. Ive been doing my own work for years but wanted to be sure I did everything the right way. Watched your old video of building with the masking tape to hold the head/ferrule while the epoxy dries. Thanks for the little tip. Build went great and looks fantastic. Used the Ping collared ferrules which were 99% perfect, but still turned them anyway. Thanks for the awesome videos and content. Mike in PA

Thank you for this video! The yellow Menzerna H0813 glanz wax is great. I was lucky enough to score exactly the same motor and 42" belt attachment on ebay for a very reasonable price about a year ago after watching your videos. It works so well. The linen belt seems a less aggressive and works better in my hands, but maybe I need practice with the other belt type. Thanks again for your great and helpful videos!

Hi Jim , I love the blue felt belts too but you can not get them in the UK any more . Would love to know where you get the black ones from please.

great video! if you are trying to show something close up, put your palm behind it so the camera will focus on the object

I'm working on my own 3 and 5 woods. Need to remove the broken off shaft tips from the club heads. These are the 2017 callaway Rogue fairway woods and what i've noticed is that there is what i can only describe as a "neck" between the hosel and the ferrule. Perhaps it's just a two-piece hosel? These are fixed woods. Have you come across these woods or something similar?

What kind of belt are you using? I tried using a linen “turning” belt from golf works, and it absolutely chewed up my ferrule. Put a bunch of ridges and square edges into it! Haha

Awesome Content: Question: What would be the reason a ferrule would not be straight after polishing? Would it be an epoxy problem or a simple fix?
@McGolf

no reason for it to be finished straight, Fitting straight there can left over epoxy from the previous build in the shoulder or on the top of the hosel. Then the glue if not removed well could make it look off but know there a lot of work involved in making professional again

Jim - I’m shopping around all the usual sources only to find the closest thickness ferrule I can find is almost 1mm larger than my Wilson hosels. Is this common? I guess I just have to sand a little harder?

its rare to find a exact fit. At least for me. That's a good thing for me to custom shape them.

Hi. I have an unrelated question. I'd like to restore my grandfather's erc2 driver. The carbon shaft is broken. Is there such thing as removing one from another driver and transplanting it into my grandfather's? I want to keep it original and don't think you can get them new? Thank you!

Great video, thank you for the tips! For the closeup, hold your hand directly behind the ferrule to give your camera a bigger focal point. You do good work sir!

Not ferrule related but I’m sure the process of dry fitting hosels to shafts. .335 hosels and the shafts mic to. .325 and I got play. Are shafting beads enough to snug things up or are shins needed
@McGolf

the shaft has to slighly small .01 to be precise if you ahve a good fit. Ya need room for the epoxy. But yes shafting beads will help with the quality of the build

@@McGolf 0.015 shims are ordered and on the way. I like a good friction fit to start. At moment I have way too much play for a good mechanical fit. Beads will still be used. May need to modify the shims, but we will see. Thanks for your reply.
