Wow gutsy to go three layers on the egg bites, I’ve only ever gone the two. I’m going to try your recipe for the egg bites, my normal one has cottage cheese and I think the lower fat cream cheese will give it a little richer flavor.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that probably wasn't the greatest idea!! I definitely wasn't obeying the "fill line". LOL I still have much to learn about the Instant Pot! I should probably put an "I do not recommend three layers" in the description box! 😂 And yes, we LOVED the cream cheese in it!!

Have you heard of Plan To Eat? You can upload your recipes. Then plan them out....Then it generates a shopping list for you based on the recipes you want to eat. It's been a game changer! Also, there is an option to put points values on each recipe, so when you drag them to your calendar it will generate the total for you for each day so you can make better decisions.
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
I have heard of that, now that you mention it. I think I might have signed up or downloaded the app or something at one point. I need to check it out again to see if there was a reason I never used it or if it was just something I looked into and never got back to (that's a possibility for sure! LOL) Thanks so much! I'll check it out again. :)
@wendyj.38584 жыл бұрын
@@PlanningUsHealthy It's definitely been helpful and less time consuming than to do everything by hand. At least for me, you might have a more organized system than I do though :)

I love PTE, but not sure how you are entering the points. I just tag each recipe with the point value. Would love to know what you do to get the points to generate
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
@@lindagilpin5415 Yeah, I did check out PTE and it looks like I started using it and just never continued because of the fact that I had to enter all the points, and since I share the points for all three programs, it was hard. With figuring the points and calories for all programs now through the WW app, I think that's probably why I stopped just because I'm trying to eliminate all the different apps I use.

Good video. Love the breakfast egg bites, do you reheat in microwave ? How long, do they taste okay, I might try exactly how you make, because I love eggs. I need to change up some of my meals, thank you Kristi for sharing. ❤️🇨🇦🐶
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Oh, thanks for the reminder!! I'll add the reheat instructions to the description box. I just reheat mine for between 45 seconds and a minute (I don't like mine piping hot). I wouldn't keep them in the fridge longer than three days, just because they are eggs. But you can freeze these!! My husband is not one for reheated eggs, but he enjoyed these ones! I think the creaminess of the cream cheese made a difference. Thanks Barb!

I don’t know how many the points are but you can get a better deal on your pre-cooked bacon at Sam’s Club when they have the big package because it’s like $14 and there’s 74 slices of bacon in it and it’s all pre-cooked you probably know that but you know your voice using something different so I just thought I’d give you heads up on that one

Your Butternut squash, I see it was sealed, did you freeze it? If not, how long does it last in the refrigerator after sealing it?
@PlanningUsHealthy4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lori! Yes, I buy a butternut squash and cut it up and freeze it. Then I just pull it out of my freezer a day or two before I want to use it. I did a video on how I cut it up and package it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJizo3hjf7aBlbM :)
