Hi and greetings from Jen at Alaskafamilykitchen! Thanks for sharing your recipes. My mom grew up in Michigan and used to make the ham salad all the time when I was a kid. I had completely forgotten about it until your video! I will be making some this week!

The Tabbouleh was great. As an Arab who has been preparing and eating it during my entire adult life (25 + years) I can tell you that you did an amazing job! Try adding cumin and a little hot pepper spice to it. Also, try it with quinoa instead of bulgur, tastes just the same and is even healthier! Love these meal prep vids and I look forward to them every week.
Happy to hear you're planning to do a knife skills video. That will be awesome. :) That asian style spicy peanut vinaigrette from TJs is amazing. I use it to make grain bowls all the time, even my 17yo LOVES it. BBQ chicken flatbreads sounds so yummy. I may try to vegan-ize that for next week. I had no idea bulgar was so easy to make! That tabbouleh looks phenomenal. Need to add the cold noodle salad to my menu next week. Thanks for this great, inspiring video.

YUM! YUM! YUM! YUM! Everything looks scrumptious! I've already tried the Maid Rites and my hubby has requested it 3 times since then. The cold thai noodle salad with salmon is next on my list. My husband has been a construction worker for going on 25 years and has always taken his lunch. That has been a lot of ham and turkey sandwiches and chef salads. He finally has access to a microwave, so he has really been enjoying taking leftovers from dinner. 😁 I did make him a couple of the snack boxes last week and he loved the idea! Thanks so much.for sharing sweet friend! Love and squishy hugs😍

Everything looks so good! Definitely going to try several of these recipes. I make my brats and kraut in the pressure cooker. After browning the brats, I add onions, caraway seed, butter and a bit of maple syrup to the kraut and cook them on the beef setting (I think) on my cooker. They are so tender and delicious. You could add your beer in as well. Looking forward to your next video!

Most Tabbouleh recipes use a lot of scallions along with the parsley so it was a good call to add more scallions. It is a terrific salad. I used to eat it often in the 70’s. My favorite hummus recipe is from the first Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. I also like the one from the 1st Moosewood Collective book in the late 70’s.

Tabouleh is pronounced Tah-boo-le. You can make it also with quinoa instead of bulgur wheat, if you cannot find bulgur wheat. It tastes very similar to the Bulgur, but is healthier.

hi Jen, awesome idea to use the Trader Joe's salad dressing as a marinade. I'm going to give that a try. I will try some of your other recipes on this video as well. It's funny that you were made Tabouleh. It's a very middle eastern dish but it's delicious. My parents are both from the Dominican Republic but my dad is half Turkish. There is a large Turkish community in the Dominican Republic and they make an awesome Tabouleh Salad. It's just a strange but refreshing and delicious side dish. You inspired me to make one this weekend if I gather the courage. I've never actually made it myself. I always had it when we went to DR for vacations and at family gatherings here in the states. I also took advantage of the sale going on over at the Loft website per your recommendations a couple of videos ago. I ordered some tops and they totaled like $30.00 for about 5 tops. I was shocked. I've never ordered from them so we'll see how they fit. Thanks for the great ideas and have a great week everyone!.

I was not a fan of the Chrissy Teigen banana bread either. I also tried the Martha Stewart one you use and it was ok but not my fave. My go to recipe is as follows: 2 ripe bananas 1 egg 3/4 c sugar 1 tsp vanilla 1/3 c butter 1 1/2 c flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 pinch of salt Bake @ 350 for 45 -55 mins (depending on your oven).
