No, this shows you how _awful_ he was. The more Gene clips that I watch with an objective mind, the more I realise how pathetic he was. The interviewer shouldn't make it about himself. Regal was the star, not Gene. There was nothing especially funny here, yet Gene lost his composure. Gene never seemed especially frightened of monster heels, he'd talk back to them. He'd yell at Alex Wright to "speak English". Gene interviewed Ric Flair after Flair's first WWF World Heavyweight Championship victory and captured the moment by telling someone to put out a cigarette. I say all this as someone who watched Gene in the '80s and '90s WWF and 90's WCW. Gene thought it was The Gene Okerlund Show. it wasn't.

@@markv1274 yeah but as a kid watching Mean Gene, nothing seemed out-of-the ordinary. His "winking at the camera" is obvious to us as adults and frankly he's very funny. Okerlund provided comic relief from 80's WWF characters that were cartoons characters that the wrestlers played "straight".
