The song "American Pie" was written about Buddy Holly. On the morning of January 21st 2022 , I was having coffee with my wife and watched the news .It was announced that Meat Loaf had passed. I turned to my wife with tears in my eyes and said, "Darlin, today is the day MY music died". She understood my love for his music and was also a fan. She cried with me. I have been a fan of this awesome singer since 1980 when my buddy plugged in Bat Out Of hell while we were crusing around one evening. I will be a fan until I take my last breath .Thank you, Meat for all the power, soul and love you poured into your music, R.I.P. Now you and Jimmy are back together and I sure hope when I get there you have new wonderful music to share. P.S. Could you say hi to my Mom and Dad,They enjoyed your music very much. Till we meet again, Rest Well, Brother

I have been a fan of Meatloaf since I was a young girl. He was my first concert. I was 13 1993. When his 2nd Bat out of hell came out. My favorite album was the first Bat out of Hell. I pray his song "heaven can wait" was played at his funeral. His true fans would agree. Thank you Marvin for all your love and passion through your songs. I'm happy he is no longer suffering in pain. R.I.P. sweet angel. Be at peace with your Brother Jim another great genius.Your time here was grateley appreciated.

This time last year we were all so startled, so proud and so excited to see Meat looking and sounding better than he had done in years, and not four months later...I haven't watched this video since he passed, but I had to come back today on Meat's birthday for another viewing. Hard to believe he'll never grace a stage again, but this turned into a hell of a final bow.

“Someone must have blessed us with these songs….” Both Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman blessed us many times over. Just awoke to the news of Meat Loaf’s passing, I feel knocked over. I became a fan at his first appearance on SNL. An extraordinary performer. Regardless the obstacles, both Meat and Jim shared a similar tenacity, perfectionism and the heart to go on with the show. What a rich story of survival, an awesome musical performance and catalog, and an on it acting legacy Meat Loaf gave us. The Jim Steinman number of songs written for so many people is amazing…. put him in front of a piano & decade after decade he wrote fantastic songs. Whether Collaborating or doing their own things, these two men will not be forgotten. Sooo grateful to have watched things unfold. With Respect, Peace, Love and Many Thanks!

1 was 16 and my elder sister told me to sit and listen to bat out of hell. After his first song I put on headphones to listen to the rest of the album. Very anti social when visiting but I was hooked and I have been ever since. I also played it all through my pregnancy and my son has been a fan ever since. Proof they can hear all in the womb. Remember. Meat Loaf was a performer and for him it wasn't a concert, it was a show. He acted every song. When the voice wasn't powerful, he augmented his back up team so the vision still came through. He made sure you were always listening to Meat Loaf and getting your money's worth. This late performance may have showed him in weak voice, but his performance was real, and the music overall was as good as if Jim Steinman had been there.

The hardest thing for me is, like Elvis, Meat was so full of energy in every little thing he did that it’s hard to comprehend his passing. Then it’ll hit me and I’ll cry like a baby. My Dad made me a fan at 4 years old and have been an avid fan for 28 years now and will be a die hard fan until the day I pass away. The amount of phone calls and texts I got the day the news came of his passing was phenomenal. People asking if I was okay as if Meat was family. Meat WAS all of us fan’s family member. He treated us as family and we loved him like family. I’m just so greatful for the time I spent with him.

I've got to say it I wasn't expecting meat loaf to ever come back after his past issues with his back and voice but he's clearly been working on his issues and he's back! He seems a hell of a lot more comfortable on stage than he did in the last ten year or so.

What a performance. From the last 18 hellish months in the world and then this raises from the ashes. The thought of a comeback tour, or at least a few concerts, is just... I don't know what to say. Something I gotta attend at any price for sure.

I gotta admit i was a little afraid to click on the video. Michael is freaking 74 years old, everyone knows that his voice did not aged that well and each performance he was less capable of delivering the overdelivered show that he always loved to put. As a big meatloaf fan I'm glad that he sounds and looks healthier than he has been in previous years, he needed that well earned rest and treatment, he does not owe us anything, he has performed for years and has nothing to prove. I eagerly await his next performance

Incredible, emotional... literally burning piece of rock'n'roll perfomance. I'd compare it even next to Freddie's Mercury at Live Aid. I have no words, this man is legend. Along with Jim they were one of the most incredible men, that music industry has ever come to know. Did you notice when Meat asked to take it one more time at 7:37? He maybe wanted to repeat the last part, beacuse of pure enjoyment of it. You'll never be forgotten, keep rockin' and be happy in the place you are now.
