The Medal of Honor Allied Assault Main Theme with some wallpapers. Composed by Michael Giacchino
About Michael Giacchino:
Michael Giacchino (born October 10, 1967) is an American composer who has composed scores for movies, television series and video games. Some of his most notable works include the scores to television series such as Lost, Alias and Fringe, games such as the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty series, and films such as Mission: Impossible III, The Incredibles, Star Trek, Cloverfield, Ratatouille, and Up. Giacchino has received numerous awards for his work, including an Emmy, multiple Grammys, and an Academy Award.
About Medal of Honor Allied Assault:
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault (MoHAA) is a first-person shooter (FPS) computer game developed by 2015, Inc. and created by Steven Spielberg. It is the 3rd installment of the Medal of Honor series. The game, based on the Quake III Arena engine with modifications from Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.², simulates infantry combat in the European and North African Theaters during World War II. Allied Assault is the first game in the Medal of Honor series to be released for Windows, and the only one to be ported to Linux and only as a beta leading to it having numerous bugs.
In the game the player takes on the role of Lt. Mike Powell of the United States Army Rangers who works for the OSS. Single player missions include assaulting German bases in Algiers and Norway, storming Omaha Beach on D-Day, and rescuing comrades behind enemy lines in occupied France. The game's levels are often compared to Steven Spielberg's 1998 film Saving Private Ryan; many of the levels are direct quotations of the scenery (or even complete sequences as in the Omaha Beach mission) in the film. This level was re-created in Medal of Honor: Frontline for consoles. Other elements in the game are also comparable to the film, like the "Sniper Town" level and the "Guarding of the Bridge" level where the final battle sequence of the movie is very similar in action and visuals to the game.
The game has been re-released as the Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Deluxe Edition which includes the Medal of Honor: Spearhead expansion pack, two strategy guides, music from Allied Assault, and a preview of Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, and the Medal of Honor Allied Assault War Chest which includes the game and both expansion packs.

There are 3.6k comments. I know nobody reads this comment, but let me write something for my record. I’m a Japanese who played MoHAA as the first game. I was a weird nurd, bullied, and had no friends. My only relief was to play this game. This game and this song gave me a confident that I could be something different, savior of the world. Now I’m about to graduate the best MBA school in the world, joining the best mgmt consulting firm. Everything I have achieved was thanks to this game and this song. Thank you EA games. You were different. I came to the US and I love the US because of this song, but I must confess, that the country I’m observing right now is different from what I admired.

Whenever you feel like you can't advance anymore on or don't know what to do becsuase you have 0 English knowledge, your dad who remembers every mission piece by piece is there to help you. And when you finished for the day you rest at the menu, listening to this masterpiece. Good times.

+Iainofthemeteor No you don't. I've played Mission 3 10+ times and I just played it again today on hard. You just have to find a correct spot in the craters to not get hit. Don't call it 'unbeatable' just cause you can't do it, bro.
@Iainofthemeteor
@Iainofthemeteor 9 жыл бұрын
Will Davis "In the craters" not in the craters. When I've got past the craters, and I'm literally up against the concrete wall, lined up with 3 other allied soldiers talking about it (Just BEFORE running across into the trenches) I know people who have owned this game for years and have never managed to avoid damage while standing at the BASE OF THE BUNKER (There aren't craters literally touching the concrete) There is apparently some secret trick. But I find myself standing at the very base of the bunker, lined up with those 3 other guys and still taking mystery hits through that whole conversation they have (ending with them shouting "COVERING FIRE!" and shooting recklessly around the corner while each other run towards the trench and blow up via mines) It's physically impossible to be shot there, as the machineguns would have to point straight down through the concrete wall. However health is still lost. Nobody I know who has played this game knows of any way to avoid damage at this point. Therefore, it's either unbeatable, or all its players I happen to know were put on a blacklist to have their copies of the game altered for a laugh by EA. When I state an exact reason as to why the mission cannot be completed, with a full description of the circumstances and the reasoning as to why it cannot be circumvented (because it happens AFTR bypassing the point at which you can even be shot at), replying with that "Hah I'm being a cheely mofo and calling you bro because this is the internet and I'm a god" attitude does not constitute a logical response. Sorry I had to cut it down to a short version, but I was getting bored.

My first fps and my first game ever. I know for many of you guys this was your first game in 2002 and 2003 but for me it was in 2014. Yes, when i was 7 years old and I was born in 2007 so now i am 16. I absolutely adored the game and this is the main reason why i got myself into history. I played it on my dad's PC ane my grandfather's PC. Old machines. Yes, we were poor and we couldn't afford newer games, so we had these. Yet, they were 100 times better than anything in 2014. Then my grandfather's pc got an upgrade and dad didn't let me play so no more mohaa. For 5 years i haven't touched this game because i just can't afford a pc. And i would give anything to boot up a pc, log into the main menu and listen to this hit all day.

And I don't think any game will ever make that accomplishment in my life unless some kind of ww2 simulator came out where they put your real body in the game other than that this game will be the only game that really has a place in my heart. So many amazing memories with family and friends with this game.

This is about the 23rd time I've watched this same video... Every time I rewatch this video the feels take me over, and I read all of the comments... EA is a black hole full of lies... Empty streets... One more time for old times sake... I feel like EA is going in the same direction that CoD did... If you look at them, they started out very good and had lots of similarities, now CoD has left its brother stranded in the dark abyss. We all will always remember this great childhood game. I think its the best game I've ever played... Looking at it now, it has bad graphics, bad animation... Etc., but when you really look at it... You remember the great times and how happy you were when you got this wonderful, amazing game. I've never felt that same way before when getting ANY, other game. RIP, MOHAA, we will always remember you.

A couple months ago on a lazy weekend I was browsing 9gag when I recognised a picture in the feed. It was the MOHAA main menu. So I click on it and this old theme starts playing, mind you I probably havent heard it for at least a decade now. I remember this wave of pure sorrow overcoming me, how I then reached for a pillow without taking my eyes off the screen, but the rest was blurry after that. I remember snapping back to reality when my partner touched my shoulder, she heard sobbing from my room and came to look. She said my eyes red and glistening with tear and so was the pillow I was hugging, looking like someone who had just lost a loved one....

Man!... I miss Soundtracks like these. The use of Trumpets and Drums? This is what makes Micheal Giacchino one of the top 10 composers( in my opinion anywa) alongside the ranks or John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, James Horner and Hans Zimmer! This Theme invokes a sense of reverence and respect for those who served in WWII. The games are not a 1-1 experience of that but you cannot deny it launched thousands of people's interest to sit upright and pay attention in History class.

The way theme rolls in was so beautiful to watch. Being an indian i had pirated a copy of this game and years later during my teenage had purchased 10 year expansion pack of this game. It was so beautiful. I cried when grillo died. I cried when the game ended. It got me interested in history. My father who is born in 1945 narrates me the version of then India, he grew up in poor family, but years later he purchased an apartment for us. Coming back to the game, this was the best part of my childhood. Perhaps present generation will enjoy gta5 and with gta6 but I had the privilege to see transformation of games from video games to cd games to now online purchases. It's sad and good at the same time. My heart goes to everysingle soul who's lives were clamied during the fateful 6 years of war. Every single thing. Every single time. To the old gamers, yes absolutely our childhood was awesome with games like these. ❤

This song is the meaning of nostalgia for me. Other songs remind me of the past, but this... this fucking hits hard every time. The opening bell puts my brain straight back to launching the game as a kid and searching to join a server. Like for many others, this was the first real fps game and online experience. I didn't know it then, no one did, but damn what an era and what a start to what gaming and the internet would become. I'm not crying you're crying.

The reason why there aren't many WW2 shooters these days are because of the "new" generation. They don''t give a fuck about history, probably don''t know shit about WW2, the only thing they like are modern weapons->lasers and shit. Thats why the developers keep making modern shit, because it sells better. Give me a WW2 shooter any day. Way better, and it has many times epic soundtracks like this one.

I applaud you good sir! This is very true! When the new generation sees a perfect game like this they reply: "Umm...Where are the hit markers, lasers, and jet packs" That really pisses me off!

***** It's more like, by the time 2007 rolled around ww2 shooters were done forwards backwards and upside down. Developers drove the genre into the ground. Eventually the modern shooter genre will suffer the same fate and we'll move to something else.

Slay I never said they went away entirely. Games like wolfenstein with cyborg dogs and super nazis hold a bit of luster because they have more going on. There are still a few ww2 games here and there. they've had a mini comeback recently
