I love your affordable and reputable herbal school! I've been enrolled for 11 months and love all the solid information on the body as well as herbs, and what they can do for you. I've relistened to several modules, and love being able to work at my own pace. Keep up the good work, Dr. Jones!!! I'm a very satisfied student!!! 😀

LOVE plantain! It is my favorite plant! I am always so happy when I see these growing out in the wild - I always have to show everyone around me - "Look! Plantain!" "The banana?" "No no, an amazing medicinal herb! It heals all sorts of stuff..."

I’ve always used rubbing alcohol in a roller ball applicator as a really effective mosquito bite treatment, but now that I know about plantain I think I’m gonna use a plantain tincture next summer for an even more effective treatment!

I made an infused oil, for a rash my husband had on his arms that no dr prescribed medication worked, he is now almost free of the rash. This plant is all over at our place. Truth I have a whole apothecary in my back yard. I use to mow it all down. Thank for your videos.

I transplanted some plantain that I found growing wild into a section of my flower beds. I made sure that it was contained by cement because it spreads so easily by all those seeds. I raise bees and use fresh plantain often when I get a bee sting. It really works!

Hi Doc Jones! I love this plant so much. Such a unique taste. Thanks for all the great info! ♥♥♥ I am in awe over the size of that species!!! Like going back to the triassic period lol. I grow the species Plantago lanceolata. Grows pretty good here in the natural soil here in Chiloquin, Oregon. Lots of pumice here. Not a lot of plants like our soil so it is a real blessing.

Yeah, the narrow-leaf variety is lots more tolerant of sun and dry dirt. Both work equally well medicinally in my experience.

My boy hit my lip with his head quite fiercely the other day and I thought I will look like my husband punched me real hard. I felt it swelling up with blood straightaway. So I immediately chewed up a leaf of the plantain and kept it on the lip for like an hour with three or four exchanges of the poultice and the wound never opened up to bleed, never got swollen and there was only a small bruise visible. The next morning not even that. Nobody at work noticed I had a face injury, which seemed to be almost a miracle. It would be one of my top 5s, too. 🍀

Also great to relieve itching. Chew some up and put it on the itchy area. The itch is gone in about 5 seconds. I love this stuff.

I’m so glad I found you! Here in Maine we have a growing tick population and what they bring with them. I used a poultice of plantain (after trying to find it with a flashlight in springtime and not knowing if it is coming up yet) on my husband. The tick bite that was a dark purple. No ring around it. When the plantain poultice started working, he said it itched pretty bad. The area was pink in 24 hours. Repeat. In 48 hours back to skin colored! Thanks for all you do❤
