Medieval Dynasty - Best Way To Build Your First House

In this Medieval Dynasty video, i show you what it takes, both in resources and in time to build your first house at the beginning of the game. I compare each level of building showing the pros and cons of doing each level. Basically, you have the option of doing wattle walls and a straw thatch roof. Or you can do rough cut wooden shingles and log cabin walls. Or, the best option is stone and mortar walls and fire treated wooden shingles. After watching this video, you will know which way is best to go.
Medieval Dynasty is a three-dimensional simulator in the convention of action RPG with elements of survival and strategy created by Polish studio Render Cube. This is the second production of the Lodz team and completely different from its debut project: Monster League go-kart racing game from 2018. This time the Poles created a realistic production set in the Middle Ages, reminiscent of the Czech Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game is also another part of the Dynasty cycle of Toplitz Productions, although clearly different from its predecessors.

Higher level houses reduce firewood usage and increase happiness. Definitely worth the time and effort. If you build a level one house to start you will end up upgrading it at some point anyway.

I like how the log ones look best. But I think that the stone ones are much quicker than logs.

Yeah, the log one looks cool, but rocks is the way to go IMO.

I believe this video is now out-of-date. I'm required to use technology points to unlock the different house levels and this is not something you can do from the get-go. Might want to look at an updated video. Thanks

He miss uses the term lv3 house. Talking about tecnologies, all houses built in the video are lv1, but different models: sticks and logs; logs and logs; stone and logs.

10:15 Limestone Now daub is for sticks and logs and limestone is for stones. It's easier to build an excavation shed than to manually mine for limestone.

Yeah, its still pretty quick, but it is slowed down a bit. Luckily the woodcutter building is quick and easy to make.

Greetings, DTG! I've been following your videos on this game for a while now, although I find it interesting... and have it wish-listed. I have a feeling it might go the route of Rust or something to that extent. In its current state is it worth getting? (On sale maybe?) Or would it be better to just wait for more updates, and reviews? Oh, and great work with the videos as always!

As far as the game right now, i would say if you really enjoy this type of game, then its pretty good right now, especially if you can get it for at least 20% off. But, maximum enjoyment would probably come from waiting for a full release, so you can experience it all at the same time. There are a lot of features that are not in the game yet.

2nd and 3rd level house has an update, so probably it will take longer than 9minutes for the 2nd level house because you need to make planks out of the logs from the woodcutter building.

Its still pretty quick, but now to make planks, you need the woodcutters building first. So, if you want to do the higher level houses, now you actually need that building before your house.

I rush my 1st few houses only because I know I will be rebuilding my houses once I have the pick. Then the rocks are unlimited. You run out of storage with rocks.

I find that building rock buildings in the winter is the best rocks are easy to see in the snow. Other than that wait till the last day of a season and collect rocks around a camp in a mine, then when you have ALOT put them all in your pocket and sleep and teleport home with all your rocks and iron!

I like to put my citizens to work doing tasks i don't want to have to worry about, so gathering resources and doing my farm work is where i find the most benefit.

I'm wondering how to make a home in central lake work. I'm worried I'll have to move my house away from the lake to hide it in a palisade later if bad guys become a problem.

I built a full size 30 building city there, with a full palisade wall. You just have to keep your bigger buildings down by the lake where it is flatter.

I like the rock house because it builds your survival skills looking for rocks,and it gives your people a 60 to 65 mood rating.my question is though...you are using planks.planks are not that easy to come by early game unless you steal them.which adds to the actual time it takes for you to build your first house if you are using planks

Planks didn't exist yet when i made this video. They do alter the time a little, but i tested it that way too. You have to build the woodcutters building first, but it only adds about a minute or two, because that building is easy to do.

You need to build woodshed and it's cheap to make, just it's gonna take longer to build house lvl3 now but still can make it in 1 day ingame.

You can make them in the woodcutting building. There is a sawhorse in it and you make them with logs.

I also want to know this. At this point in the game, you are limited to 1 building. So I cant make planks yet. Guess I need to make a lvl 1 house, then can make the wood cutter to get planks, then destroy and remake the first house?

Walk up to the empty wall frame with your hammer out. Push the E key to edit which style you want to use.
