To anyone who's never hiked Rainier through all that snow idk how the hell they move so fast. Did it for my first time last month and couldn't move my legs for a week 😭

I have lived my entire life (30+ yrs) with a view of the mountain wondering what it would be like at the top. In both Rainier summits, DC and Emmons, you guys make it look easy. The most glaciated mountain with a 50% successful summit rate is not an easy feat, but watching this makes it look almost effortless. You guys are awesome! Keep it up!

I saw in my social feed that my last ascent of Rainier was 5 years ago by your same route. This was a pleasant trip down memory lane. Thank you! The weather you had was extraordinary! Congratulations :) I've said it before watching your adventures there is nothing mediocre about this achievement. Rainier car-to-car in a day is an elite athletic accomplishment. My only successful climbs of the peak required two nights and even then were the hardest thing I've ever done. Hat's off!

Well done guys, a respectful climb and descent, and only with the advent of skis, technique, lip salve, and sus. Great stuff. Not a puke in sight. Just fantastic..

There are few things more satisfying then the sound of crampons on dry frozen snow. I did the Cleaver and Kautz routes before summitting Denali but never skied either. Well done! How you don’t have a million subs is a UtUbe mystery….

Absolutely spectacular footage! I've done that route with an overnight at Sherman. Much respect for doing it in a day, and then adding more punishment for another ski run! The 3D cam footage adds another really nice perspective. Always a joy to watch your content and banter :)

Rainier car to car in a day is no joke. You guys always make it look, if not easy, doable. We took our time going up that route 20 years ago sans skis. Just topping out from Shurman and then heading all the way down to White River the last day smoked us. Absolute beasts. Congrats!

Congrats on bagging Rainier. You got really good weather. BTW, good meeting you on the Orem foothill trails a month or so ago. We talked eBikes. I'm happy with my Levo SL but you may want to look at the Trek Fuel EXe. Or get a Levo for the extra range and power. Coincidence: I passed fellow Mediocre Amateur Blake mountain biking up AF Canyon a few hours ago. I didn't realize it was him until I'd gone by.

Wooohooo, glad to see this up and that you got redemption for the previous attempt! It was really awesome to meet y’all the day after this after we popped out of the Fuhrer Finger, best day I had all season! To learn that Danny is also a chocolate milk disciple is even better. Looks like you had pretty beautiful conditions at the summit; the folks we talked to the same day said that around ~10am it was ripping wind up there. If you decide to come back next season and want to sample something other than our volcanoes let me know, I have some good suggestions!
@scottsamuels1109 Жыл бұрын
Did you guys seriously just day hike Rainier with an 8AM start time from the car AND add extra vert climbing Steamboat AND make it all the way back to the car for chocolate milk?!?! Totally insane. We attempted to summit in 2013 and took 3 days, weathered out at 13,500 ft....you guys made it look almost effortless. Wow.

Great video. Thumbs up. You roped together all the way up but then skied down. I don't see the logic in that. Is there less or no danger of falling into a crevasse when skiing down? Also, have you practiced extracting each other from a crevasse if one of you does fall in? It is a rather complicated procedure especially if only one person is out of the crevasse doing the rescue.
