Good summary but you've missed some key points imo. For instance Meet Kevin at first said he was gonna buy in until 16.03 and some weeks before he was saying how he thinks the whole year is gonna be a lose and probably the bottom would be in the beginning of 2023. After getting laughed out from many and understood that he wasnt able to time in he started buying in. Ken on the other hand had requested to meet Meet Kevin in person or online and got ignored, probably Kevin felt he was gonna get pushed a lot of his choices. Then come the video of Ken which escalated the situation. Anyone can have bis opinion and get positive critic in that, but if you sell some method and then flip flop is a other thing and you get extra critic on your product. Meet Kevin never understood this point and therefore thought he was unjustified accused even from his buddies. Meet Kevin brings great content but he reacts like a 9 year old...

I know I am going to really miss Ken (chicken genius), his intentions were always so good to genuinely help people, and to me he seemed such a kind-hearted soul. He is clearly devastated that he made a bad options call recently that people followed, but it is impossible to get everything right, and overall his advice was fantastic. well explained. but I think there's one point not quite correct in this video is the bearish nature of the call option sold by CG. he sold the option at the money. if see from entire portfolio, it's still bullish overall. every dollar Tesla price gain subsequent to selling of call option, his portfolio still grow as gain from share outweighs loss from the call option. those who receive margin call most likely cos they dont have at least 100 share before selling call option.

I watched both of their videos regularly (for Ken is more than a year ago) and really sad that Ken are taking a step out of youtube since he kinda inspired me to start KZbin (mainly on being transparent). Cyberbullying on the both of them are really on the next level when I watched the comments on their videos. Ken should have known never to bet against Tesla. That was his battlecry for so long, having made money off Tesla’s long-overdue rise. And yet he felt the need to play with fire, selling those call options, and rightly got burned. He basically pulled a “Kevin” but more specifically with his Tesla shares. It’s just a little ironic, what with Ken being a huge Tesla bull, after all.

he sold $770 covered calls, which means he sold someone the rights to buy his tesla shares $770, basically any price movement above $770 doesn't belong to him anymore and belongs to the buyer. Base on the today's price of $1085, he is losing out on $31K potential gains per calls sold and we don't know how many covered calls he sold against his shares.

Meet Kevin might have made good money in this trade. But by definition half the trade you beat the market and the other half you get screwed. It really means nothing. Buy and Hold is where its at. Chicken Genius' core Tesla portfolio and moving on to put time onto more important things (unlike trading the market) is definitely the right move. Covered call not as much.

I’ve seen Chicken Genius videos, always informative and positive but I never heard of this other guy… but it seemed confusing when CG did his last video, I couldn’t make sense of it. (I just followed him occasionally and liked his positive Tesla bias) I know he always said he’s had been successful on all his trades, so you’re saying he made a bearish trade on the market, lost a lot on it, some of his followers got mad at him because they followed his trade and then this other guy slammed him and because of all that he threw in the towel? Ok… weird cause if you’ve been investing long term you’re never right 100% of the time, and if you think you’re bulletproof, losing is a hard pill to swallow. It’s a life lession.

KZbinrs needs to be careful showing how much they make and how much they have invested in crypto. Do you not realize it’s easy to find out where people live these days. When a gun pointed at your head, your going to fork over your crypto wallet and there isn’t much you can do to recover it even by going to the cops. I’m surprised this hasn’t been done already. Much easier and less risk than robbing a bank.
